Good news
I just got back from the doc's office and got good news. I no longer need to be on meds to control my blood pressure! In fact, its too low at the moment so I'm going to be working at home for a few days til the meds get out of my system. My doc says that the combination of less stress, better eating habits, weight loss and lower my cholesterol (from over 300 to 166) means the meds are no longer needed! Yippee!
Since leaving AH, life has improved in so many ways. I've lost 11 pounds since July. I'm eating healthy and not stress eating at all.
Life is good.

Quit med....
Hi Barbara,
How wonderful! Wish I could do that and quit my BP med and Cholesterol med. I eat right and have lost weight but my blood pressure kept going up so have to take a double dose now. In part it could be because I cut way back on my anxiety med.

Yay!! good things! I also lost 12 pounds since I started not dealing with the ex. My therapist friend thinks it is because I was holding onto weight as protection from constant emotional betrayals... Go figure. Congrats

I've heard that sort of comment before. I've even been told being overweight was a passive agressive way of getting back at AH (or earlier in life, my parents). It kinda makes sense.
When I was still married to my AH, I was constantly on Xanax everyday to control my anxiety.....and am happy to say I haven't filled that prescription in two years, since the day he left. Imagine that!!!! Life is Grand!!!
