It's a done deal
Hi all, just a quick update. As of 8:40 this morning, it was a done deal. No more stbxAH, just plain XAH. There are still a few loose ends to deal with...the house closing got pushed to next week, but in spite of it all, I'm in surprisingly great spirits. It probably doesn't hurt that I have a hot date tonight. Thanks to all of you who have been around for me. I consider you all wonderful friends of mine, especially those of you whom I have gotten to know personally.
Both loving and leaving my alcoholic were the most difficult things I've experienced to date. But you know what? I did it. And I'm okay. I also think I have a whole wealth of knowledge to build future relationships upon.
Onward and upward.

I never know what to say to these posts. Congrats just doesn't seem right. But I am happy for you in the sense that it is no longer pending and that you can officially move on! You go girl!

Actually, I do have vacation plans!! I'm flying to Chicago over Labor Day weekend. I just love Diana Krall, and she will be in concert there that weekend. My best friend from college is going to join me. We're going to catch a Cubs game while we are there and generally play tourist! I'm so excited!

You're not the same woman I met back in 2005. You've blossomed and grown into a new and improved version and a much stronger, healthier young woman. In honor of this occassion, I officially declare you TGv2.
It's been an inspiration watching you grow and change.

Life does indeed go on and gets much better. Diana Krall; very nice. One true friend gave me a ticket to see a little known band from Ireland to help take my mind away from the aw.
Oh, by the way, their bass player is a recovered alcoholic

Good for you. I hope life bring you the happiness you deserve.
I agree with what Barbara just said.
Tg, you really have come a long way - and while the journey was painful and confusing - you've now got your life back and you can do whatever it is that you wish to do with it.
I'm truly happy that you've crossed over another milestone and only have the technicalities to deal with. You're moving on to greater and happier things!
