Taking Care of Myself

Well today was rather exhausting. I've been seeing this man for about 6 months.

During this time he moved back in April and bought himself a home. Right after he bought it he started renovations.

Well these renovations have gone from bad to worst because he's been saying he'll dothem himself hasn't done them has been hiring people and firing them or bringing their pay down to an ungodly hourly wage and then wondering why no one wants to work for him.

There has been a hole to the outside of his bathroom for two months now and the weather is turning cold. And I must stress that there is no lack of money for these renovations to get done THERE JUST SEEMS TO BE A BIG CONTROL THING GOING ON WITH SPENDING THE MONEY TO DO THEM.

So thank god I have my own place. Anyways I told him this morning that things weren't working out because we see things differently.

I had the revelatin the other night talking to my Alanon sponsor that I was back into the same pit, trying to manipulate and control some body into doing what I want so I can be comfortable. And I don't want to go there anymore.

But I feel guilty about stepping out of it to take care of myself.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Don't ever feel guilty about taking care of yourself and making sure your needs get met. You made the right move and I'm proud of you.

You first, guilt is a self imposed emotion, one that we saddle ourselves with.

I too, am proud of you!

Lose the guilt, Earthworm, as soon as you can :-). I am through with the whole square peg, round hole scenario.

OMG, what I was typing after that was cracking me up! Let's just say I know that somewhere out there is the right peg for me. LOL!!!!

Earthworm,
Like you said to me, you like taking care of yourself instead of being the victim.
Don't feel guilty! Do what's best for you!!

Dry drunking can come in many forms and this one comes in the form of MISERLY.

It's very difficult to deal with especially when someone is living in a shambles because they are too MISERLY to pay someone to do the renovations! So consequently they just sit in this shell of a home with everything everywhere and a HOLE IN THE BATHROOM FLOOR!

Whenever I have a carpenter work on my house it's a non-negotiable his price.
