I'm having a party

I'm having a party!! It just dawned on me how huge that is for me!!

A bunch of my friends and I like to play cards so I invited everyone over Saturday evening for dinner and cards.

I was just thinking about how I could never do that before because I couldn't depend on AH to be sober. I remember one year we decided to host Christmas at our house and on Christmas Eve I had to cancel because he was wasted.

OMG! I'm having a party! EVERYONE IS INVITED!!!

I'm so happy for you. I canceled a family 4th of july pool party the day before and I did it for me. I chose that day not to pretend I was enjoying myself while my husband drank himself silly. It felt good to be honest with my family and let out the beans so to say of our not so normal family. It was a validation I needed when my mom said "we all understand we already knew."What a relief and a new beginning. When my divorce is final and I live away from AH I too shall have a BIG party.

Reading this reminded of the many times I wanted to have people over for dinner or a party or whatever and never did simply because I was embarrassed by AH. How sad that was.

Fantastic!!!! i went to Ireland with my kids and neighbours on Thursday and had a great day, something i wouldnt do if i was still with my xab (far too many pubs selling Guiness) there!!!!.

The party was so much fun!! There were about 20 of us there. AH sent me texts all morning(i swear he has a sixth sense that knows when i'm about to have a good time without him!) but I didn't let it bother me and ignored the messages and had a blast!!

I know all of you were there is spirit!!
It was a great night! I'm going to bed with a smile!!
