I posted a while back about practicing singing (Bang the Drum Slowly) Well because I wasn't sure if I had the melody correct (this was a karaoke disc) I got the real CD, Emmylue Harris (Red Dirt Girl) OMG!! I spent more for this CD than I normaly do. I tend to be cheep. LOL Anyway..... This is one of the bes CD's I have ever owned! If you are looking for a cd that will move you.... This is it. This one came out in 2000 and the song (Bang the Drum Slowly) is about the death of her father. The first 6 or 7 times I tried to sing it, I couldn't make it through without crying. It is a beautiful song. Every song on this cd has something to say and I just wanted to share that.

I saw Emmy Lou Harris in Atlantic City a few years back. She was warm up that night for Neil Young on his Greendale tour.

I've always loved her she's awesome. Thanks for sharing, I'm putting your CD on my wish list.
