Amazing Rainbow Over My House
First time I've been able to see the entire rainbow. Thought it was spectacular and just had to share:

And, yes, there was a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

My aunt received five radiation treatments on the tumor on her spine in an attempt to shrink it and reduce her pain. The tumor was crushing her spinal column. Two days ago, she underwent surgery to fuse sections of her spine in another attempt to reduce her pain. I called her last night, but she was in too much pain to talk. Thought I'd give her a break tonight and try again tomorrow.
Her cancer, which originated in her lungs, has spread to her spine, liver, kidneys, and lymphatic system. Don't know if she plans to undergo chemotherapy, as it will only extend her life for a few months and the quality of her life at the moment is very poor.
I think in time her doctors will be able to find the right combination of pain medications and treatment to keep her relatively comfortable. At least, that's what we're praying for. Thanks for keeping her in your prayers.
Glad you enjoyed the pic.

BEAUTIFUL picture (and rainbow)!!! Thanks for sharing it!!
Keeping you and your aunt in my thoughts and prayers. Hope she can get some relief from the pain. My mom and I shared some very close time when she got in this same situation (I cared for her every day for several hours); I hope the same for you two, also.

Years ago when my dad died I was appointed to be the one to tell my little sister who was about to turn 7 years old that he had passed...
I took her outside and was trying to think of a way to tell her we looked up at the sky and it was raining and sun shining at the same time tears were coming out of my eyes as I looked up and there were hundreds of rainbows all over the sky I said to her look there is dad saying good bye to us...it was the most beautiful memorable scene of my whole life
To me a rainbow is so special I know many other people who have seen rainbows too and felt it was a loved one sending a hug. Maybe Richard was sending you a hug...and lucky you have a photo to keep.
Prayers going out for you Aunt to be made comfortable and for you to remain strong...

FD that was a beautiful picture and the same thought ran through my head as Splendra that maybe that is a sign from Richard letting you know he is safe now-and how much he will always love you.
I pray for you often and will add your Aunt to the prayers as well.
(((Hugs)))
