Here is the hard truth, he has an addiction, the addiction is his first love, his mistress, you were not his priorty, nor is the girl he is manipulating now. He took from you what he could, now he's moved on to a new enabler, he will suck her dry too, and, then dump her.

NO, he wasn't trying with you, yes, he was manipulating you, and yes, he is doing the same thing to his new patsy.

Face the truth, lick your wounds and move on, he did you a favor, it could have been worse.

You deserve better than him, now, let him go.

After the last piece of info my ex dropped on me as a bombshell I had no desire to know anything more. I figured it like this, the sky was the limit on the things he lied about so I really didn't need to know anything else.

Who gives a good cahoot what he does with or to another woman? Hon, it's time to get off at the very next stop of the obsession-bus-to-nowhere-but-crazyville.

Was he really in love with you? Was he manipulating you? Was he just using you? Is he doing the same thing with another woman? JMO, but if you have a true burning desire to know, go straight to the source. Call him up and ask him. I certainly don't know what your ex or anyone else is thinking or what motivates them to behave as they do. It's all I can do to figure out what the heck I'M thinking or what motivates me.

Frankly, whatever he is doing with the other woman, I would assume it would be the same stuff he pulled on you. She's probably another victim in a long line of victims.
