Hiya all

to start off with I LOVE my College I am here for the weekend and can't wait for school to start on Aug 18 ....

so i was sitting here with my mom my father counld come b/c he had a court date for his DUI and i got a call....

it was my dad his part of it was... put your mother on the phone

turns out he has skin cancer and all i can think of right now is i bet he is drinking

once again the happy is over shadowed by the bad


on a funny note he went to court and the had no record of anything so me have no clue what will happen now

All i can say is i don't know

I am so proud of you and excited for you. When you start college your whole world will change. Remember, your entire life is in front of you. Focus on yourself and your dreams. Always dream big. Please keep us posted on all of your successes. I know you love your Dad but his problems are not your problems. When school starts there will be support groups that you could probably benefit from. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Keep your parents in your prayers.

I just wanted to add that I am in the medical field and MOST skin cancers are not a big deal. They just require a little scraping/surgery and are rarely life-threatening. Melanoma can be serious, but that is a pretty rare cancer.

Let go and let God. Things are exactly the way they should be right now. And like gns said, most skin cancers are very easily treated. Congratulations on your school!!!!!!!!!!! That's awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
