Today, he is in peace and out of his pain. (((Richard)))
I am so sorry you have to go through this, FD. I cannot imagine the pain and sorrow. We detatch to save our sanity, but our hearts remain hopeful. As they should.
Thank you for sharing Richard with us, and allowing us in during your best times, as well as your challenges.

Oh FD....
I think any of us that have followed your story knew what that title ment.... Your strength has always amazed me sweetie and today is no different. I cant imagine how your feeling at this moment but know that your not alone in mourning this man you loved for most of your life.
You give such new meaning to the word love in recovery..... and If Im not mistaken you are the first person that gave me an example of it being ok to love an Alcoholic.... Thank you.
Know if there is anything I can do, Im here. You are in my prayers as is everyone that Richard's life touched and is hurting today.

This is a sad reminder of what the disease can do. Maybe someone, somewhere, will read our post and it will somehow make a light come on for them.

A tear fell from my eye.......as I have read your story and knew what the end of this one would be.
My heart goes out to you in more ways than one-I have been down that path as my husband passed too.
I will send you prayers today and everyday as you go through this-You are a brave woman and can read that in your posts-a truly amazing woman that did all she could without forgetting who you were.
Richard god rest his soul with fly yes with the angels where he is now free.
I actually will be doing a walk tomorrow (Compasionate Friends) where we release butterflys in memory of those we lost. My girlfriend lost her son (11 years old) and my husband so we go every year to do this....tomorrow I will release a butterfly in Richards honor for you.

I feel so sorry for your loss, I am speechless at your strength and courage, you are indeed a strong woman and you have given so much to those who will read this. God bless Richard, and I will pray for you and your pain and your grief. Please know we are all here for you. You are a survivor, God bless.
