It's been a long while...
And I see so many new names. As much as I wish I didn't because I wouldn't want anyone to go through such hard times, such is life and it's nice to see others being helped the way I was when I first came here.
Hello to everyone and I have wondered about many here. I took a little time to try and catch up on some of you but that's hard to do....however, ya'll sound as wonderful as ever.
As for me? Well, I've been very busy. Busy waiting, trying to enjoy life one day at a time. If I look at the "big picture" I get overwhelmed. So I just live one day at a time, thankful to feel good....thankful to know that my life is going better places, thankful to be safe, sane and alive....who could ask for more?

Hiya zoey!!!
If you remember, I took my two oldest children to start the school year with their father with the intention of being right behind them. The two younger ones remained here with me, awaiting court. Little did I realize at the time that "awaiting family court" is a knock out-dragged out process. There is now 3weeks left of the school year, and here I am, stillwaiting for "court" tofinish up and go my way. I spend three weeks here, one week up with the boys (younger two always with me of course)....it's been hectic living like this but I know it's worth it. The boys are thriving and that's the most important part. I did the right thing by not having them stay here and I remind myself that the person it's hard on is me. But I find comfort knowing I am doing right and it makes me proud each time I remind myself of it.
AH is still drinking, progressing in his disease. I relate to him very little and realize there are so many other things to focus on than him. When I think of him now or physically lay eyes on him, I just feel kinda sad....not "boo hoo, I miss him" more how you'd feel when you look at someone, a stranger, and just know they are dying or have a disease. I do not engage with him no matter what button he tries to push....my body, my life, my mind, my buttons and *I* decide who I let push them.

Well hey there Sunshine! I've been off for a while too but felt the need to post some updates and hang with some old buds. Glad to hear you're OK and you boys are doing well.
