AH is Getting Help
Hi All,
When I got home last night AH was already discharged from the hospital. He also had already called the rehab where he went years ago, found out the price and if they had a bed and today he told his boss flat out about his problem, needing help and the time off. It's all set up for this weekend, he's nervous about it, but he did do it all on his own. He says he's ready, he needs it, so I guess that's a good sign. Thanks for listening

Hot DOG!!!!! If he did it all on his own you woke him up!!!
You made him know that he had to face it on his own!
queenteree you did the best thing you all could have done for him, you made him know that he was on his own with his problem, just like my wife did!

Oh to hear that he is doing it ON HIS OWN is great news indeed. That is what it will take, for anyone to get sober. I know mine is back in detox, I threw him in the car and brought him after reading about the possibilities of stroke/heart attack etc. I made him go, he still doesn't get it. I am so happy for you, there is hope, I don't feel so glum now hearing your news. I pray for you and him. This disease is awful,. to say the least. Said so many times but so true.
God Bless, really - a day at a time for you, just today feel good, do something good for you and your family - today!!

The worst thing you can do for him is help him in any way, force him to face life and his alcoholism all by his self, as long as some one is helping him in any way with anything he will continue to drink. The only help you should give him is a ride to detox after he has set it up not you.
GREAT NEWS QT,,and the spirits know, I could use some today,,
