Sorry - title should be "hit" by drunk driver - maybe I'm a little upset this morning.


Please keep my sister-in-law, Barbara, in your thoughts & prayers. She was hit by a drunk driver shortly before 7 am this morning.

She drives a special needs school bus & by God's Grace none of her kids were on the bus yet.

My brother-in-law is on his way to the hospital, officials, of course, couldn't release any details, except she was "banged up pretty badly" and he needed to meet them at the hospital. Two others were injured also and brought to the hospital for treatment.

Just got an update -

The Dr's cleared her for no head injuries - several broken ribs.
She is having a lot of abdominal pains - so might be doing more testing to rule out internal injuries. Probably stay in ICU for observation overnight.

Her husband got more information from the authorities. The Driver hit her head-on. He was under the influence of some type of prescription pills. The pills were all over his vehicle, plus he tried to throw some of them away before the State Police arrived on the scene, but witnesses helped the Police find the evidence when they arrived.
