I can't believe this is the first thing I saw today. It must be the day for it, I've had my stereo cranked all morning playing my old favs LOL My daughter thinks I'm nuts, but she's sang and danced with me all morning... gotta love the joy of a 1 & 1/2 year old being goofy with mom.
Right as this moment I'm listening to U2 so my pick is "Where the Streets Have No Name" - Thats where I want to be right now, in my own little world, not letting anything bother me and enjoying the simple things.
Ok everyone... 1...2....3.... sing at the top of your lungs and dance like no one's looking

Great thread Sparrow!

Okay, I nominate "Strength, Courage & Wisdom" by India Arie because you all give these things to me every single day and I'm so grateful.

Love and hugs.

I love "The Rose" by Bette Midler, and also "You'll Never Walk Alone" sung by Leane Rymes. For a real oldie, I always cry when I hear "He Ain't Heavy, He's my Brother".

What a great idea sparrow!!

It really is hard to pick just one. I have so many favorites!

One is" HOOKED ON A FEELING " by B.J. Thomas. Another is

"WHO WILL YOU RUN TO" by Heart. And "LET'S GET IT ON" by

Marvin Gaye!! I like pretty much everything from all of these singers though. Cranking up the music and singing and dancing is a sure way to make our day brighter.

Everyone enjoy the Music, and have a great day!

Phab4ever

Glad to hear you nominating a Henley song. I worship at the altar of Don Henley.
I'll nominate "Shed A Little Light" by James Taylor because it is my prayer in song.
I will also nominate "Lean On Me" by Bill Withers as a board song.

"You just call on me Codie, when you need a friend
We all need somebody to lean on."

Peace,
Gabe

Oh hell, I didn't know it was

Kareoke night.
(Test one, two to the mike...and twisting the lyrics a little)
Did you guys ever know that you're my heroes?
You're everything I would like to be
And I will fly higher than an eagle
'Cause you are the wind beneath my wings.
Peace,
Gabe

Lanslide - Stevie Nicks (not the Dixie Chicks), As Time Goes By - The Rolling Stones, These Are the Days - 10,000 Maniacs, Europa -Santana, We are the children - Whitney Houston, Hero - Mariah Carey, Afterglow - Genesis (Peter Gabriel), Your Wildest Dreams, The Moody Blues.

I could go on forever. I have a new favorite song at least once a month. I used to love making mix tapes....hmmmm

(I'm still at the Kareoke mike)

Give me silver, blue and gold,
The color of the sky I'm told,
My ray-ay-ay-ayinbow, is overdue.
(Paul Rogers/Bad Company)

Peace,
Gabe

You asked for it and you'd better be glad there isn't sound!

My votes go to

Bridge over troubled Waters
Wind beneath my wings
The Rose
Stand by me

Because all of them remind me of Al-Anon and my Higher Power.

Love in the fellowship and graditude for the 12 Step programs.
