Back from 1st Therapist meeting over exAbf
It wasnt at all bad or strange or weird. It is nice to have a professional 3rd party to bounce things off.
Ok, so Im a little co-dependant and have abandoment issues. I can take that. I can deal with this. I already ordered all of Cynay's books she mentions. He gave me 3 cd to listien to and some paperwork to fill out for next meeting.
My therapist is actually 20 yrs sober himself so he can help me relate to whats been done. its nice.
What I found interesting is that he said CD people are caregivers. And we put ourselves out there too far and for too long. But what I found interesting was when I took my temperment/personality test, it titled mine as "The Caregiver" so I must be right on track but walking in the mud instead of the gravel path. But that can I be worked out in time.
I am on the road to being forever changed for the better because of the exAbf!~ :-)
