Yes, once upon a time we had an excellent chat room and online meetings were conducted on a pretty regular basis. We also could use the little smiley-faces and other gizmos in our posts. Those appear to be out of service for a indefinite period of time too.
I'm not technologically-oriented, so my guess is that there's something pretty complicated about getting these things back up and running. But then I think putting change in a soda machine is high-tech ...

Long time, no hear. Thanks for that suggestion. I'll go to the link you gave us. We really did have some good chat sessions online here. I remember I was a newbie and pretty lost at that time. I met some very kind people and the discussion leaders really knew how to lead the sessions. It was amazing how well we got ideas across online.
Perhaps someday we'll get the ability to chat and have meetings online back. It worked well when it worked ....
