How To Support An Abused Woman
Chero all I can offer is this "Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst". That's how I've been living the last month while watching him go downhill fast, hoping he'll get help. Still love him. Still pray for him. Still have hope --just from a safe distance to protect myself physically. (Still working on the emotional protection...) I too have dreams that sobriety will turn him back into the calm loving man he can be. He's only violent when drunk. But lately that's all he is. Better safe than sorry in my situation. Yours may be different. (he tells me he's seeking help now. We'll see....still keep my distance. The "Watch and wait" approach)
Hey gang, please take a minute to review the recomendations in post #2 of this thread. There is a lot of good information there that is _not_ being used as well as it should. As this is an old thread please start a new thread for any discussion.
