Please pray for my daughter
I just got off the phone with my daughter...it's 1:00 p.m., 4/23, and she was crying
She said she is in a bad place emotionally due to a boyfriend who moved back home after being here for a few months. He was in AA with her and she is missing him terribly. I know she has been placing a lot of hope in him and I knew that wasn't good, but try to tell that to a lovestruck 20 year old.
She is upset and said she is so worried about slipping due to her emotional state. She was leaving a meeting and had called her sponsor.
Please pray for her, that God will keep her strong and that she will feel His presence in this situation. She needs all the prayers she can get.

(((((Hangin' In))))) You're on my list, and your daughter too. It's so hard to watch our kids go through the trials of life. One thing I've learned - no matter our age and experience, losing a love still hurts like hell. The positives are that she confided in you and her sponsor - that is good! She's letting it out and it sounds like she's also aware of the concept of triggers. Good for her! Sounds like you've got a smart girl, there.

Oh bless her heart
What a sad thing she is going through. And bless your heart too. It is so hard for a Mom when her child is sad and in such emotional pain. I will say a prayer for both of you. And hugs to you both as well.

I pray her sobriety remain her most important issue even
through a broken heart.

Dear Guys,
What a wonderful feeling to come here and see all the support and prayers for my daughter and for our family. I thank you so much for that. I started to type "you don't know how good that feels" but I know ya'll do know. Just please know how much I appreciate your love and support.
My daughter called last night and said she had been to a women's meeting at 6:00 and was headed back to an 8:00 meeting. She was spending the night with a friend who is also in recovery. She sounded better and I'm praying that she can see that God CAN and WILL bring her through this. Yesterday we talked about it being not just one day at a time, but maybe more like 30 minutes at a time.
I haven't heard from her this a.m. and me and my worrisome self COULD start thinking "Oh no!" But I'm not going there. I'm praying she is at her meeting right now and thinking good thoughts. I'm proud she saw warning signals and I'm praying she will take action on them.
Thank you all, again. I hope I can be the same support for all of you.

I am in a similar situation a the moment. My daughter is 23 and in AA, and she is also emotionally messed up at the moment through a relationship with another AA member.
My heart goes out to you, I pray also that my daughter will come through this without picking up a drink.

Many prayers coming your way
Hangin, How wonderful it is to know that with our time differences you probably have prayers going up faster than rain drops (or tears) coming down...I am sending prayers and love to you both.
I believe that seeing the disease work in and on my childern is harder that other family members....it must be our Mother's Hearts.
The real power is here and in the 12 step programs. I pray daily that AA and NA will be there if and when my KIDS want it...Yes I did say IF because Al-Anon has taught me that it must be their decision......
MOST OF ALL it taught me that I can love them and pray for them whether they know I am or not and there's not a darn thing they can do about..
