THANKS!!
We have had a crazy past few weeks, but things have calmed down now.
We got several opinions, radiation/chemo and at a 'big center' a surgeon wanted to cut the tumor out, which was at least 2/3 of her tongue! We were so discouraged....but, there was a conference and it was decided the best overall treatment was rad/chemo. She had to lose the preganancy....that was awful in itself, but ALL doctors recommended it. They didn't want to give her basically any treatment till she did. The chemo she gets would have severly harmed if not killed the fetus.
BUT, the tumor has shrunk a ton!! after only 2 weeks of radiation/chemo. They are quite optimistic they will cure this. God I hope and pray. She has a feeding tube, cuz she was unable to eat and getting hard to drink, but right now she is doing a lil' better, now ) I am spending alot of time up at their place. She has the most awesome husband.
Thanks for thinking of me. I have peeked in here every once in awhile. But, have just been too busy and mind somewhere else to post. Take care and I'lll try to keep in touch. Hope all is well here, and moving toward peace.....

Thanks, Girlfriends! It meant so much today when I peeked on here and found FDM thread. Almost gave my tender heart tears. Like I just sent FDM, we are starting to breathe again, eat and sleep. It has been so very scarey. Not out of the woods, and the pain that is to begin next week related to the radiation they say will be a nightmare. But, are very hopeful. Trying to keep her positive.
Hope you all are doing okay.....
I'll try to stop in more now. Linda

Praying hard that the doctors will be able to keep your daughter's pain under control. I truly believe in the power of prayer. So happy to hear the tumor is responding well to the treatment thus far. Pop in when you can.
