he's home and he's wonderful!!!
My A was released from the treatment center last Tuesday, and my prayers have been answered. This is NOT the same man I married last year. He's enthusiastic, fun to be around, and spontaneous. He has completely changed from the drunk guy he was two weeks ago. He's been attending AA meetings every day, sometimes two a day. I've been with him once, seeing as there are meetings during his lunch time. I've also been attending al anon, and it's helped tremendously. We talk openly about his drinking, and how he WAS as compared to how he is now. He completely recognizes his Higher Power, which he didn't before. He tells me that he feels a whole lot better, which I can see for myself. He has gained back the weight he lost during the drinking, and the guy eats like a horse now!!! (which I'm very glad to see!)
Anyway, we are both on the road to recovery. I am so much happier now than I've been in a long time, and I tell him that.
Thank you God!!

I am happy for both of you that things seem to be going so well.
Recovery can be a beautiful place to be, and the fact that you are each working a program will make both your lifes better.
Big hugs and congratulations to both of you.
