What happened to the Thank Buttons?

SR just had a system "upgrade"
LOL
Some of our favorite functions are screwed up.
MG and Doug are working very hard
with the techs to get us back on track.
I miss the smilies the most!

I barely got used to them and then they were gone!
I mentioned this in my post to the 4th step thread - had to type out my thank you's - hopefully Denny you saw that. I was thanking you for the books you mentioned. I ordered them on line last night.
Since I have never really used a forum much before this I thought maybe I did something in the preferences. Kept trying to go back and fix whatever I did. Glad to know it's not me!!
I mentioned this in my post to the 4th step thread - had to type out my thank you's - hopefully Denny you saw that. I was thanking you for the books you mentioned. I ordered them on line last night.

We are waiting for the techs to fix the smilies and editor buttons and then I'll put everything else back.

When I first install the thankyou button it will have the count on your posts and profile. I'll then find that part and edit it out since none of you like that. There will be a small gap in time from the time I install it until the time I find it and take it out.

I do remember when the thank yous first came on...that was a whole other freak out!! But I really miss them too. Glad to know it's a temporary thing.
LOL, oh if you had only seen my freak out the day that everyone showed up as banned. I just knew that someone had hijacked my account, was posting bad things coming from me, and that I was never going to be able to come back.

I'll be glad to see the Thanks button reappear. But I have to say that not having it for a bit could really be a blessing. I received a PM one day after it disappeared. In that PM, the missing thanks button was mentioned but the person PM'd me to thank me for a reply that I'd made in her thread. A PM that she wouldn't have sent me if there had been a Thanks button.
Perhaps we can look at the missing Thanks button as a short time for us to reconnect a little more!

I do have to say I also remember a time I PMed you to thank you for taking the time to dig out a string of my old posts for me. I might have just hit the thanks button if it were there at the time instead!
