When my dad died my mom dove into a bottle. She was an alcoholic but never this bad. She stayed there for years and only stopped a few years before her own death. Loosing my dad was the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with. I too am an alcoholic and sort of dove in with my mom at that time. Then I came out for a while and dove back in with my husband. Then at last I saw the light at the end of the tunnel and stopped all together. I have not had a drink in nearly 20 months. I stopped a couple months after my mom died.
