Sometimes when I'm going to write someone a long email, I do it in Word so I can keep saving it. Then I cut and paste into the email.

Sometimes the long ones do seem to get dropped for some reason. If I'm writing long, similar to Denny, I copy the entire thing before I hit submit...just in case. I got burned once too...

Me too, (it's my 2nd week here) I poured my heart out, sobbed and put it all down, and somehow it disappeared, I know not where!! I ddn't have time or strength to think through it all again. But I did feel a bit better for at least typing it out. As you wisely suggest, document then pasting may be better next time. This place is SO HELPFUL, you wouldn't know. I'm lost and alone etc... since my loss (he died this summer) and am struggling to function. Better post quick before I lose this one too. THANKS ALL, you're incredible.

If this ever happens again, when you write this big post and it times out, try clicking the "back" button. Sometimes you can recover text that way, so maybe it'll work here. No guarantees of course.
