Some time back, my daugher and I were in the car and going somewhere. That song was playing on the radio and she said that it reminded her of me and her Dad. I'd never heard the song before and I asked her why, and she said "this part" and it was the part about "I cared too much".
I'd never seen the video before until now. Interesting that after that day with my daughter, I'd made a point to listen to the words and relatd to it - and today I watched the video and again can relate.
Thank you for sharing. Another reminder of the devastation that alcohol can cause.

Ah yes. Popular songs.
You know what song does me in? Joey by Concrete Blonde. I've always loved that song too but these days I try to avoid it. Just absolutely kills me. It's like I could hear myself in that song.
Then the guilt kicks in with songs like I'll Stand by You. Chrissie Hynde or the Pretenders, whoever sings that one.
Then there's these 2 Carrie Underwood (I know, I know...) songs. Check out the lyrics for Wasted and Starts with Goodbye. Those are pretty on point too, and are on the more productive side of sad. I play those 2 alot.
