I went to a meeting about corporate ethics and kept my mouth shut!!!!
This is a very positive thing for me as I am the one that usually questions everything. I had to bite my tongue once or twice! Felt good to not "stir the pot" for once.

Well, I needed to go to the grocery store but discovered that the lights stayed on on my car last night and the battery was dead. I jump started it all by myself and took my son for a nice drive through the nearby canyon to make sure the battery got charged. Then we went to the grocery store and got what we needed. It felt very good to do something on my own that I would have previously needed a guy to do for me!

And I think that also applies to the toy subject, too.

I had 3 friends call to chek on me. Also,my daughter who told me about her daughter 14 months pulling her poopey diaper off and laying on floor for her mother to change her. Made me grin.....Had a super appt. w/ my Psychologist. ALOT! Shopped for new TV and stuff for the house. to fill up what he took. It is so empty....But, I am okay! AND the best of all was the posts here that encouraged me.

Got back to my home group Alanon meeting and found out what I was missing...

It was a book study meeting, and we've been working our way through "Survival to Recovery" since before I got there two years ago. It is a tough book... touches a lot of places I've tucked into the corners of my mind.

Five gals around a table, one of whom I had not met before, yet I was able to share from the heart, without hesitation. What a wonderful, safe, loving place to spend some time. It humbles me to realize we have that inside us... and fills me with gratitude that I was so fortunate to find them.

What a wonderful feeling.

I was told at work today that they really want to direct hire me NOW, but they can't b/c of their contract with the temp agency. I'm kicking butt there and it makes me feel good that I'm kicking butt!!

Yesterday after work I went shopping around 7PM to buy a new pair of shoes just because... Got a beautiful pair of creamy colored Bandelino heels.

Yesterday I heard I've been selected for interview for the secondment I want!! It was the day after they said we would hear or to presume we were unselected so I'd thought I hadn't managed to get to interview.

It's a hotly contended post which currently has a good tempory person in post and applicants from across the uk. The interview is success in itself!!

We're going to have a stupid amount of fun this weekend and I'm going to spoil him rotten.

Kinda funny. Went after work to have my nails done... I deserve it. AH spends more on booze during the week than I do on nails once a month. Maybe I should add a pedicure to that.. hmmm

Sitting home last night. AH was trying to call me cell phone.... 3 times to be exact wondering where I am and threatening to come looking for me.
Guess where I was...
In the next room watching TV... how funny is that?
