Back Peddling - Almost
 

Hi All - thanks to all for responding to my previous post about going away while Mom-in-Law is sick. AH claims he wants us to go, but is very angry. A mass was just found MIL's stomach, she is having an MRI today to determine what it is. Trip is planned to start tommorow. Still planning to go, but struggling with my guilty feelings. My 17 yo daughter got upset with me this morning. She told me that my AH wouldn't cancel a vacation for me. So, I shouldn't cancel ours. Codependancy really stinks. Please send some prayers my way. I hate feeling this way.

How observant they are. Think about what message you would send your daughter if you didn't go.
Besides, hard to beat the kind of care MIL will get in the hospital. She's in good hands.

Prayers coming your way. It's ok to feel the way you are. Acknowledging it and taking the trip anyway is what counts in MHO. I'm going to guess once you are on this trip with your children you will have a great time. Try it!
