I'm fine guys, really. Nothing I wasn't already prepared for actually, since before I joined SR even. Thanks for all the kind thoughts and prayers.
I asked MIL to let me know how bad her liver is and if the tumor is operable, even though it's benign, it can't stay there and grow indefinitely.
MIL is in pretty good spirits considering. She told me again that she couldn’t have made it through all this with out her Al Anon buds for support. Boy do I know that feeling!
But now the danger is in a day or two if she feels good enough to walk out of the hospital AMA, will she? She's done this before so.... *shruggs*
MIL is going to give Mel a personal message for me. What ever happens I’ll know that Mel got my message, and for that I’m grateful.

FWIW;Can't help but wonder if the brain tumor has contributed to the nutty behavior of the past months.

My wife had a very large meningioma removed last year. She's doing well now.
Thank you for sharing this and helping me to stay sober today. FWIW

At my meeting this weekend, someone read from Courage to Change and it included this quote from Emerson: "It is a luxury to be understood." I'd add it's also luxurious.

(((Jazz))) That pic of you and Mel is priceless. It's just lovely. I'm very sorry to hear this news and will send prayers to you and your family. I do believe in HP looking out for us though and this may very well be what is needed to put her on the right path to health of body and mind. I don't see how anyone could receive this type of news without putting everything into perspective.
