Yes I did Denny. It is a Woman's Night Out that I believe is hosted
in another womans home. So far there are 4 woman on the guest list
that have confirmated attendance with 2 RSVP's remaining. Cost is
$10-$12 which I believe covers cocktails. That is the only event listed.
Can you believe that a city the size of Chicago has one event that ends
up being a women only cocktail party.....lol
(Minnie, before you say it...yes I know networking they may have a brother,
uncle, cousin, friend and for godsake a father....lol)
I think I will take up knitting....
Sarah did you check that link out in your area yet?

Boy that's too bad. I'm surprised about Chicago. Would you be willing to start one yourself? Here in L.A. we have quite a few. I've done a travel photography one that is fun.
A lot of guys in my meetings are threatening to take up knitting, too, so hey - you never know.
I hate to say it, but I'm also a believer in that brother, friend, uncle, grandfather thing.
If that one available to you sounds worth it, give it a shot. What's to lose?

Thank Rhon.....
Oh oh, am I sounding desperate? I really am not...honest!
I just think a little male companionship would be nice....
yeah, I know I have male friends already but I would like to
have a new one that may offer possibilities....
a girl can dream......

I agree - about not being ready. I tried match about 1.5 years ago when I thought the xbf and I were done (nope, just the usual codie break LOL). Met a few nice guys. I recently thought about trying it again, but when I really think about it - I'm just not ready to date. If I happen to meet someone when I'm out, or through a hobby type club or whatever, then so be it.

Well- have fun at that gathering tonight and that is strange about Chicago not offering a little more than that. You might meet some good gal pals though, so who knows? About the male companionship- you know what they say Patty- "if you're going to dream, dream BIG" Urrrmmmm...LOL.

Movie and dessert day or night; Walking tour/lunch day. That would be great in Chicago! I like both of those because it involves lots of chatter (not in the movie god forbid).
Notice both my ideas include food :Jumprope:

Gotta love it............

Black Horse and the Cherry Tree
Two, three, four
(woo-hoo,woo-hoo)
(woo-hoo,woo-hoo)
Well my heart knows me better than I know myself
So I'm gonna let it do all the talking.
(woo-hoo,woo-hoo)
I came across a place in the middle of nowhere
With a big black horse and a cherry tree.
(woo-hoo,woo-hoo)
I fell in fear, upon my back
I said don't look back, just keep on walking.
(woo-hoo,woo-hoo)
When the big black horse said, "LOOK THIS WAY"
He said, "Hey little lady, will you marry me?"
(woo-hoo,woo-hoo)
But I said no, no, no,no-no-no
It said no, no, you're not the one for me
No, no, no,no-no-no
It said no, no, you're not the one for me
(ooooo,woo-hoo)
And my heart had a problem, in the early hours,
So it stopped it dead for a beat or two.
(woo-hoo,woo-hoo)
But I cut some cord, and I shouldn't have done that,
And it won't forgive me after all these years
(woo-hoo,woo-hoo)
So I sent it to a place in the middle of nowhere
With a big black horse and a cherry tree.
(woo-hoo,woo-hoo)
Now it won't come back , cause it's oh so happy
And now I've got a hole for the world to see
(woo-hoo,woo-hoo)
But it said no, no, no,no-no-no
It said no, no, you're not the one for me
No, no, no,no-no-no
Said no, no, you're not the one for me
(ooooo,woo-hoo) (not the one for me, yeah)
(ooooo,woo-hoo)
Said no,no, no,no, no, no, no
You're not the one for me
Said no,no, no,no, no, no, no
You're not the one for me
Big black horse and a cherry tree
I can't quite get there cause my heart's forsaken me
