Hola all and happy Monday! So Leg workout today. Well, most everything went ok, but ran into a problem on my barbell squats. About midway through my third set something started feeling really funny in my right upper thigh muscles. I think if it was something serious it’d hurt more. Hopefully it’s just a cramp or minor sprain and I’ll be fine. I really hope! Didn’t bother me doing the leg extensions after. I dunno. These things just happen sometimes I guess. Well, tomorrow’s routine is Chest & Forearms. Take care all!

Hola hola. Had a good Chest & Forearms workout. Finally got all my reps in my bench press routine! I’d been failing on those heaviest reps at the end since about June. As much as I record what I do every day exercise wise, I’ve never made a point of keeping track of things like meals & sleep. Things like that might have more to do with how I do than anything else. Tomorrow’s routine is Back. I’m not sure if my leg will bother me or not on the deadlifts. We’ll see tomorrow!

Purps - great job keeping up with those AM workouts!

Hola all and happy hump day! Back exercises were done today. Went very well! Deadlifts went so well I tried to do a personal best, it cleared the floor a couple inches and I had to set it down. Maybe next time. Everything else went ok. I had planned on doing some farmers carries but I’d had enough at that point. Tomorrow’s routine is shoulders. I hope I’m as fired up to do those tomorrow as I was today. Today’s enthusiasm was brought on by lots and lots of caffeine. Sometimes I get carried away with the coffee at work. That’s all for now!

I am just starting to not feel sore from a killer workout 3 days ago. I have taken time off as I have learned how important recovery is and also don't want to injure myself. I still walk everyday or bike. Today ill be back to the weights but no battle ropes yet.

Hola all! Shoulders day! I had a pretty good workout! About ninety minutes worth although I take my time between sets. I think half my battle to working out today was fighting off nap time. I get crazy sleepy for some reason when I come home from work lately. I kinda half dozed while I watched the news for an hour then I was ready to go again. I don’t go as heavy as I used to with the shoulder work. My goals of late are just keep at it and try to hold onto the strength I still have. Tomorrow’s routine is biceps and triceps. Fun stuff!

MaximusD - Glad to see you’re still going at it! Ya, take it slow at first. You’ll make much better progress that way then if you rush into it and get injured.

Hafa Adai!

Yoga. Camping in paradise. Enjoying life. Coffee delivered to a wonderful friend at an art gallery. We both appreciate fabulous art, coffee and the power of active positivity--- be aware of all things going on, pray, meditate and allow Higher Powered guidance in amazing positive ways.

It's very much a "rest day" for me, yet exploring, going to another yoga class soon. The classroom is huge, very sparsely populated, etc.

Hola all and TGIF! Really didn’t want to work out today. I’m still pretty achy from yesterday, but I made myself do it anyway. So biceps & triceps all done. The overhead triceps extends have been bothering my elbows so I switched to just using a big old dumbbell instead. Seemed to go better. After my heaviest dumbbell curl set, I up and went for an even heavier set and got six clumsy reps. Made me happy! Generally I don’t go all out on biceps curls as I’ve known a few guys that got injured that way. Seems like that’s one of the more common middle aged injuries: torn biceps and rotator cuffs. No yard work of late. It’s been storming daily plus I had to get new tires for the riding mower. Place is a jungle around here. Tomorrow’s routine is Legs. Hopefully everything will be ok with squats. I’ll do a few light sets first just to make sure. I hope you all have a good weekend!

Currently on a mesocycle with 3 upper body work-outs, 2 lower body, spinning 3 times (2x LISS, 1x HIIT) and inlines skating 2-4 times per week. Also doing 1-2 hours of walking/hiking every day and a rigorous routine of stretching and injuryprevention. Basically on weight maintenance with a high carb diet as far as the food goes. My BF% is pretty low and Im focusing mainly on performance at the moment so I got no interest in neither bulking nor cutting. Making slow but steady progress in strength, muscle mass, coordination, mobility and bodycomposition. 4 more weeks on this cycle, then Ill rotate a few exercises and do 6 more weeks before deloading.

As for today Ive done a heavy upper body workout, 30 minutes of intense inlines skating and later Im doing a forest hike for a couple of hours. Feeling well rested and fit for battle, tomorrow Im doing spinning, lower body and probably some martial arts training just for fun.

Corona is a horrible thing, but for me personally quarantine has allowed me to take my training (and other hobbies) to whole new levels. Dont have access to gym obviously, but with some kettlebells and heavy calisthenics I still get the job done.

Glad to see peeps checking in....Hey Duckfeathers!

Today I did a 40 minute Shaun T video...not much of a strenuous workout, ("dance party" lol) but got in a little cardio....especially since I ate Taco Bell yesterday!

Hola hola. Legs day. Went really well! No problems with that upper thigh muscle today during squats. I made my lazy self do some warm up sets first for a change. Added a little weight to everything and even did some lunges at the end. Just body weight lunges, which for me are plenty. It’s been a while since I finished my leg workout with enough pep to want to try something else as well. Hope it continues! I may do Chest & Forearms tomorrow or I may take a rest day. Either way I’ll probably have to mow some overgrown grass tomorrow. Won’t be fun.

Duckfeathers - sounds like you’re doing just fine without a gym!

Midwest1981 - welcome back! Sounds like you had a good, restful week!

Welcome Duckfeathers! Everyone's doing a good job but I'm planning to set a bad example next week. This week I did some yoga and five runs (69 km/43 mi) including six one kilometer repeats and one 14-miler, but I had to skip weights because my right arm just didn't feel right after last week's fall. I had no trouble doing pushups though. Anyhow, my muscles have been feeling tired and sore, and it looks like the weather's going to stay humid for the foreseeable future, so it's very unlikely I could improve my 5 k or 10 k times, and I've already reached the goals I set for this summer, so I'm happy with what I've managed to do.

I really feel my body could use some rest, so next week's going to be a rest week, and I'm not going to do any hard workouts or long runs for a month. (I still need to do a quick one mile this summer because I need a baseline for next year, but that only takes six minutes or something, so let's just say it doesn't count as a hard workout.)

Take care everyone!

Thanks everyone, good to be here

I pretty much do this for a living, so I definately have no problems making due with what Ive got. Gym equipment is in no way a requirement for quality training, I actually prefer rocking it old school.

Today; just finished a heavy legs/core work + some mobility work. Later Im doing an hour of spinning and tonight Ill do 6-8 km of easy walking for active recovery. Been grinding pretty hard the passed week, but still feeling really fresh overall (being quarantined in the country side allows for lots of focus on quality recovery which makes a huge difference) so Im gonna extend this microcycle with a couple of days before I rest.

Hey FAS I don't currently, but that would be a fun option....

Yesterday ended up being a rest day....didn't do much this morning; just two short videos for a total of 20+ minutes....meditation done since it's been a few days.

So yesterdays spinning didnt exactly go as planned. I was just gonna do some low intensity and avoid anaerobic work since Id been doing legs earlier in the day. But half way through the work out I started listening to Skillet and kinda just went apeshit and started putting out pretty much max effort.. Still feeling better than expected today though. Put in some extra carbs yesterday and took an icebath this morning which got me going pretty good. Did a heavy upper body work out today with extra focus on chin-ups (one of my weak spots) and later Im doing my regular walking. Dreading tomorrows intervall spinning, hate that ****, but doing what you hate is a good way of practicing self discipline, so silver linings..
