Hey.

Been a few years since posting on these forums.
Used to love one back called “Kicking asphalt” that ended back in 2013. Sheesh...yeah it’s been a few years...and then some.
But I loved being part of a like minded group so thought I’d check this one out as it seems the most similar.
Anyway I’m kind of a old hard core cyclist at heart that finds enjoyment in training , suffering, and completing endurance events. Signing up and Putting something on the calendar motivates or perhaps forces me to be consistent and put the work in.
Today rode up a local mountain for an hour and a half. Beautiful day!
Tomorrow is strength training.

Thank you for welcoming me, everyone! And welcome to Santiago. Everyone seems so hardcore into fitness here, good job all of you.

Took another long walk today, also did a 20 minute yoga video last night.

Looking to do more of a yoga work-out tomorrow for at least 30 minutes, maybe 45 minutes to an hour depending on what I can find. I miss doing 90 minute vinyasa classes (several years ago at a studio) so will work my way up to that in a home practice. Also I've been meditating, eating vegan, drinking tea.

And then a massage followed by a burger on the grill!

Evening all! And welcome Santiago that definitely is a full body workout! Just Romanian deads alone leave me beat to helk. Glad to see the rest of the crew here kicking butt like normal! Shoudlers tonight and for not having allot of get up and go tonight it went great! Straight bar shrugs, dumbell shrugs. Tons of dumbell raises and shoulder presses. Finished up with Cuban rows and hit the ab wheel and thats a night. Tomorrow is box squats. . I remind myself I don't have to like leg day....i just have to do it! Hope all of you have a great night!! Everyone be safe out there!!

Thanks Butcher70.
Today was back on the bike doing some interval training.
Chose a rolling hill loop in National Saguaro Park......with a tough mile climb to really push the redline! Short climbs to hit with intensity.....drop level of effort slightly on the flats, and then hit the next one......With that 1 mile climb thrown in on an 8 mile loop.
Did two laps and I had the endorphins flowing along with being physically wiped!
Good day!

Evening all! Bench and squats tonight. Bench went ok...ish.. got 295x2 and 285x3... But failed to get s single on 305.. might of spent it on my sets. Hard saying. For squats my buddy told me to try super sets... So I did. 3x20 and picked 275 to start. I got my first two sets and 12 reps last set before total failure. My quads are screaming. So that's definitely a night for me. Gonna take tomorrow off definitely and Probably Friday as well. Deadlift sets for Saturday have me at 455 4x5 so I have to be good to go for that it's gonna be a breaker. Hope I can do it. 5 more weeks on this program. Than my rematch with 600lbs. Hope all of you have a good next few and everyone stays healthy!!!

Hi everyone!

I am really impressed by everyone's workout!! Everyone has really challenging goals!

Santiago- the area you live in sounds beautiful! That had to be a gorgeous bike ride!

Butcher- The super sets sound tough! I hope you enjoy your rest days and Saturday goes as planned! I am excited to hear how it goes in 5 weeks!

BeckoningCat- Great job on the yoga and walking...both are so good for you!

Yesterday I did 45 minutes of strength training and a 2 mile hike! It was muddy but it was still awesome!

Strength training. Balancing this with full relaxation.

Planning on soaking at nature's hot springs soon.

Rejuvenation. I'm at the hot springs, which are some natural/artisan rock work pools that mix river water from the mountains with hot springs water and thermal water coming right out of the riverbed.

I'm relaxing and invigorated. A wonderful balance. River song. Aloneness in a very earth-connected way. Fully allowing joyful emotions, inner-fire, all senses to be felt.

Thanks MW ~ I couldn't stand working there anyway....just trying to balance out the feelings of depression/anxiety that seem to set in later in the day. Me and the rest of the world, right?

Shaun T video done this morning + meditation a little while ago....could use a little extra I think.

Hope everyone has a safe and peaceful weekend

Purp- yes we are all in the same boat! My husband has to figure out the unemployment thing and all that on Monday. he didn’t lose his job but he will be getting a lot less pay. I hope you find a job you like and it all ends up working out for the best. Great workout too.

I walked/jogged 5k on the treadmill, cleaned carpets, and got out my spring clothes!
