Wow! Leave for one weekend!! We got upstairs lifting another bench pr! Great job brother keep them coming! Midwest doing more in one workout than I do in a week, plop running more miles a week than I have in the last three years and everyone else kicking butt like normal!! Great job all! Bench tonight.. had no energy but drug myself downstairs. Got 265x5, 275x4, 285x3, 295x2... All felt great!!! Ton of power, form felt good. Put 305 on and wanted a pair.... Failed on 1.. what I thought I had was gone... So gravity won that round. Went down to 255 and went to 275 doing pin presses. Than did Jiggs rows with what I thought was 75lb dumbells.... Dang they felt heavy.. got done 5x10 with slamball throws mixed in for cardio, go to out them away and saw I had my 85s... So apparently I lack attention to detail tonight as well.. plus side is shoulders feel pretty good! So maybe my 10lb plate torture is paying off a bit. Anyway, back and arms tommorow night. Yalll have a good one!!

Well folks, lately I haven't been the beast in the gym like I usually am--in the 4th week of a pulled hamstring. Slooowly getting better. Cycling doesn't hurt a bit; in fact, it feels great.

Walked twice yesterday even though it was a bit uncomfortable. Can't walk fast so I doubt it's doing me any good.

Biked to work today. Spin during lunch time. Weight is up another pound. I confess to being a little depressed. Been talking to the Big Guy a lot lately. Maybe this turn of events health-wise is His way of getting my attention.

Hola all! I read today someone calling Tuesday the ugly sister of Monday. Struck me as funny. So I worked out Legs and Forearms today. I went a little easier on myself today and only did 3 sets of 12 on the squats. Could have did more but I didnít. Then the regular bunch of leg extensions, curls, and calf raises. Tomorrowís routine is Chest and Biceps. I hope it goes well.

Butcher70 - pretty funny about you grabbing the larger dumbbells. The 85ís feel a lot heavier to me than the 75ís.

Ringo123 - youíll get over that injury soon enough! It usually just takes time.

Evening all! Ringo I have zero doubt you will be back to 100 percent in no time! Back and arms tonight... If all my workouts went like my last two back workouts did I would be sponsored and be able to send you guys free swag! Absolutely crusehed it and put more weight on even. Only problem and a minor one at that is I do pullups in my garage from the rafters so did back, than arms than go to garage for pullups.. forearms are so smoked I could not grip anything! Actually having troubles with typing even there so done! Gonna walk the hound and shower up for the night! Regular squats and shoulders tommorow night. Y'all have a great night and keep kicking butt!!

Ringo- I am sure it won't be long and you will be 100 percent. It sounds like you are walking better and that is a great.

Butcher- Please don't forget us when you get sponsored!! that is great about your workout. It is nice to see the progress.

Yesterday I went to swimming class in the morning and Zumba in the evening. Zumba was challenging! I need to work on my confidence. lol. It was my first class though.

Mango- that sounds really relaxing!

I went to the gym and didn't do much cardio since I did a lot yesterday.

lat pull downs
3 set dumb bell arm exercises
variation of body weight squats
cable squats
step ups on plyo box
wall sits
10 minute abs

I came home and had a sloppy Joe & a fruit smoothie.

Midwest, that sounds fabulous!! All of it.

I'm energized again!

I'm also feeling in my feet: more strength, flexibility, agility and endurance.

Hola all and happy hump day. Chest day. Meh. I slept really badly last night so I was sorely tempted to skip today, but decided maybe Iíd surprise myself and be strong regardless. Nope! Everything was harder to do than last time. I was going heavier though. Anyway, did not get that 315 up on the bench press. I guess itís better I worked out than did nothing today. I did skip my Biceps routines though. Iíll either do them tomorrow alone or along with my Back routines tomorrow. Thatís all for now!

Howdy all! Squats and shoulders tonight. Went pretty well considering the volume. Did my 10lb plate workout after and it went way better! Felt more like 10lbs than 500lbs and didn't feel like anything was struggling. For cardio I decided to shake things up and do a 20 swing (10 each arm) than 10 sledgehammer hits on my tire, than 10 punches on my bag than 5 wall ball throws.. wanted 10 rounds, got 5....so not anywhere near close but didn't plan on the battle ropes being that much harder than flipping the tire which is normally what I do. Not too bad of a night. Probably gonna rest tomorrow night than deads maybe rack pulls Friday. Y'all have a great night!!!!

Gang, you're right, it's slow but hamstring recovery is possible!

MW, I did Zumba on Wednesday for awhile--movements were way too fast for me.

Enjoyed a spin class yesterday and then stretching and the hamstring machine. Went slow and get this--only 10 pounds on it lifting just the right leg. Oh, the bruised ego!

Spin again today and more of the darn stretching I have to do for both the quad and hamstring.

Ringo- zumba was fast pace for me too and I know I had to look silly. haha. But I am going easy on myself. It was the first time I seen those dances! lol. I didn't even know some of the songs. good job with the stretching.

Butcher- that is great the plate workout is helping. I am glad it is getting easier to do too. The cardio workout sounds like fun!!

Upstairs-good job working out even though you didn't sleep good the night before. Hopefully that will help you sleep tonight.

Mango- I am glad you are feeling so good! It is amazing how much better we feel now that we are taking care of ourselves!

Purp- I hope you are doing well.

I did a quick 40 minutes in and out of the gym.

Cardio and some strength training.

20 minute walk
5 minute stair master
played with a 12lb ball
side planks, inch worms, and regular planks

swimming tomorrow or Swiss ball class.

Biked to work today. Was disappointed that the gym was closed yesterday due to an Earthquake Preparedness Fair. No spin or stretching.

Stretching and gentle weight training for the hamstring/quad. I'll hit it hard on the other muscle groups.

Afternoon all! Glad to see everyone kicking butt like normal! Midwest your crushing it!! Like normal! Ringo glad the hamstring is coming along... Stretching those leg injuries hurts. But they really do help. Upstairs you will crush 315 next time! Also bud was gonna relay this to you, check out Texas strength systems. Can't seem to send a link I am not good with technology. They got a GHD, reverse hyper machine for 8ish... And got can add a seal row bench attachment for 90 bucks!, That last part is the kicker for me. Three machines, one footprint. That and the equipment looks like it could survive a Mack truck! Let me know what you think. Anyway today rack pulls and deadlifts. Went to rack pulls and went to 555. Stopped there than moved to deadlifts. Worked up, got 485x2 than pulled 515! Finally!! Clean and fast! So pretty happy right now! Taking weekend off but might sneak a chest workout in, I go to graveyard shift this weekend. Anyway I hope all of you have a great Friday and a even better weekend!!!!

Butcher- great job on that deadlift!! I know that had to feel good!!

Ringo- all of the stretching is going to pay off!

Yesterday morning I went to swim class and in the evening I did strength training. I need some heavier weights and some resistance bands. I did get some ankle attachments for the cable machines at the gym.

I'll be gone all next week! Lots of walking & hiking. I am so excited! I hope you all have a great week.

Hola all! Glad to see so many still going at it! So something get a little obsessive about things. I skipped lifting a couple days, got plenty of sleep, and repeated my chest and Biceps routines. This time around I did manage to get the 315lb up on my last bench press set. Yay! Sometimes I surprise myself, but I can usually tell on my first, lightest set of 10 how well Iíll do on my last, heaviest set. Rest went okay. I donít push my luck on the incline presses. Too worried about injuries there. Tomorrowís routine is good old Back. I bought some Rogue lifting strap gloves Iím going to try out on the deadlifts and pull-ups. I hope they help! Thatís all for now!

Butcher70 - Texas strength systems has some decent stuff! Be advised that GHD piece does take up some room though.

Hi all! This week five runs (71 kilometers/44 miles), about 40 minutes of yoga and about half an hour of stuff like squats, pushups and side planks. Had some ankle soreness midweek, but it came and went.

Hola all and happy Monday! Back day for me. It had been a few extra days since I worked my back out. Was hoping Iíd be rested and stronger. Nope! More like, ďcripes! ! These feel crazy heavyĒ. Anyway, done. The new wrist straps worked really well on deadlifts. Too well on the pull-ups. Once I was done I had to shake myself off the pull-up bar, lol. Next routine will be Delts and Triceps. I hope itís tomorrow. Take care all!
