Thanks Upstairs for the thread! Today I did Shaun T's "Ab Sculpt" video with 2lb weights for 30 minutes....first half standing, second half on the floor....The dvds I have are pretty old compared to the ones he's released since then....He's launching a new line too, in his "Beach Body" series.....He's crazy!

Iím in! I started WW two weeks ago, and Iím down nine pounds. I would like to lose another 16.5. I have been walking or going to the gym most days, and will be going with my daughter later this afternoon.

My goal is to keep up with healthy habits, and be at my goal weight before the holidays.

Iíll definitely follow this thread!

Howdy all! Upstairs it's good to see you back and thanks for starting the new road! Thought the zombies got you!! Welcome to the new comers!! Deadlifts today and they didn't go well. Didn't get injured or tweak anything so could be worse. Had 455 and wanted 3x3. Got first set, two reps in second one than last rep that was it.... Than almost passed out... Haven't had that happen in a long time. More of a brown out.. steadied myself on my dumbell rack till it came back. Stopped after that .Gonna take the weekend off as I go to graveyard shift. Back at it Monday for the reg bench squat and more deads. Y'all have a great night and weekend!!!!

Hola all! Welcome to the thread! I took some time off from exercising. Evidently it takes longer to really recovery from surgery than I was allowing. Anyway! Worked out the old back today which is usually kind of fun. Deadlifts. Weighted pull-ups. Wide and narrow landmine rows. Wide grip pull downs. Then I kinda bounce pathetically trying to do wide grip pull-ups. Just not there yet! Tomorrowís routine is Delts, Triceps, & Biceps. Gonna hurt as itís been a while. I guess there will be some yard cardio too.

Great job on that quick weight loss, Delilah1! I like weight watchers. They seem to have a very common sense approach to losing weight.

Welcome KTB5000! I really think regular exercise has helped me stay sober, especially in the beginning. It wears you out and gets your mind off things.

Iíll try and come up with some decent goals for myself this weekend. For now Iím just happy to getting back into it. Take care all!

Hola all! Delts, Triceps, and Biceps were worked out today. Great workout for the most part. I’m having some pretty irritating shoulder pain problems when I do overhead presses, so I lowered the weight on the landmine presses and did those along with some dumbbell front raises. Everything else went really well. Barbell curls were less painful this time too. Tomorrow’s routine is Legs and Forearms. Have a bit more lawn mowing to do and other yard work as well. I envy people that live in townhouses a lot during the summer.

Exciting yard cardio news today. I borrowed my folks zero turn mower to do my side field. After that, I thought I’d mow the back yard too. Got too near my ditch and sunk it right into the mud. I actually was able to wrestle the thing back onto dry land. Score one for physical fitness! I think adrenaline helped as I wanted to get it out the mud before passing cars started to stop and gawk at my predicament. Need any help? You really shouldn’t drive that in the mud. Didn’t need that today!

Hola all! Itís Legs and Forearms day. One of my best Legs workouts. I read an article saying you should do your hamstring exercises, in my case leg curls, before you do squats. It turned out to be a great idea. I think I did squats with my best form yet! I hope it pays off strength wise for now on. The downside is Iím already sore. Tomorrow may see some ugly walking, lol. Tomorrowís routine is Chest and Back. I hope everyone had a good weekend!

Hope you're able to ease back into it Upstairs ~ so you don't make any injury even worse....glad to see you posting!

This morning was one of the Shaun T videos that combines "Hip Hop Abs" with strength training....it's only 30 minutes long, but that "Drill Extreme" is quite a challenge for me!

Glad you're back in great form, Upstairs!

Welcome Delilah and KTB. I've made much more progress working out sober than I ever did when drinking.

Weekend with the grandkids is active but lots of food. I did "ok" but could have eaten a bit cleaner. Spin & TRX today.

Hola all and happy Monday! Six weeks since my appendectomy and I feel totally back to normal. Chest and Back today. Bumped up the bench presses today but fail with the final, heaviest rep. Great workout tho. My pull-ups will be easier if I drop some of this weight I gained. Meh. Tomorrow’s routine is Delts, Triceps, and Biceps. Take care all!

Thanks Ringo123! Welcome to the Road!

Evening all! Glad to see everyone kicking butt! Took weekend off and back at tonight. Deads, squats, bench. Squats no change.... Not bad but could be better. Need to add weight or up reps. Deadlifts went great!! Way better than last time. Really focused on my bracing. Got 455 3x3. Have got to stay focused on my hip drive. Helping tremendously. Bench.... First set good (255x5) second set fine (265x4) than got to 275x3 and absolutely no way was that happening... Not even my first rep. Put 225 and my chains on and did a failure set... Got 3 reps.... So that was even down from the 8 last time. Did not get near as many pullups as I wanted. Got 3x5 than a set of 2.... Ate great today not sure why I hit the wall so hard but I sure as helk did. Was naughty and skipped cardio.... So tommorow probably just cardio. Not sure what kind yet. All of you have a great day and night!!

Thanks for the new thread Upstairs. Good to see you back.

KTB- that is great about the Y membership and swimsuit! I love to swim.

I didn't do much over the weekend but yesterday I did cardio. Elliptical and treadmill.

DJ1, I used to be a runner. Gave it up when the knees and the lungs said "No more!" Been spinning ever since.

Rode bike today. Walked at lunch time. Hitting it hard again tomorrow.

Hey all! Delts, Triceps, and Biceps day. Everything went well. My shoulders felt a little better today on the shoulder presses so maybe thereís hope for those things yet. Still take too long though with the tests between sets. Tomorrowís routine is Legs and Forearms. I hope it goes as well as last time! Or at least works out the kinks, my legs are still sore from Sunday.

Welcome DJ1! Iím interested to know how things go with your sober run.

Great and achieve able goal, Midwest1981. Thatís about a pound a week.

Butcher70 - deadlifts, squats, and benches all in the same workout? Thatís a rough day!
