Good afternoon all! Deads and rack pulls today. Went pretty well. Wasn't feeling it till I got into it. Got to deads and flew up to 475 and my goal was for a double. Miscued the lift..... Adjusted my foot at the last second and it threw my bracing off and I barely got it off the ground. Oh well. Definitely not my worst or my best. Anyway I hope all of you have a great weekend!!!!

MW, yes, I do switch it up on a regular basis. Since I've been doing TRX for over a year now, I'm going back to the weight room for awhile.

And then I'm going to alternate TRX one week and then weight room next week, do it that way for awhile.

Rode bike to work today; took walk at lunch time. Oh, and vacuumed the suite we work in.

Hola all and TGIF! Delts, Triceps, and Biceps time. Good workout I guess. Still frustrated with trying to isolate the side delts. Also, I ended my last heavy set of curls after 4 reps because my right elbow felt kinda funny. I donít think anything is hurt, just the muscles around there had enough and were bunching up. I did some new exercises trying to isolate the side and rear delts, they probably wore out my Forearms. I dunno how well Iím doing these routines at times. I figure I must get something out of it. Tomorrowís routine is Legs and Forearms followed by the dreaded back yard cardio. Lawn mowing and branch trimming. Take care all!

Hola all! Legs and Forearms were worked out today. Even did an extra set of 225 squats at the end which I did extra low. Everything went well! I didnít break any time records doing it. A little sore from the new shoulder exercises from yesterday, so I must have did something right. Tomorrowís routine is Chest or maybe nothing but yard work. Weíll see! Speaking of which, Iíll be mowing grass in a few now that itís cooler outside.

Welcome Kbm697! Losing 10lbs by October is very doable! Slow and steady for six weeks and youíll get there!

Ha ha. An extra set of reps with 225lbs. If I did 225 reps of squats with no weight Iíd probably call in sick tomorrow! No weightlifting today. Mowed the lawn for 45 minutes yesterday and an hour of weed & branch cutting. Finished today with another hour of mowing and then bagged up the weeds & branches from yesterday. Turns out, I find weight lifting a lot easier than yard work, lol. I admire people that do it all day for a living!

Squats are great! Just ask my butt. (ha!)

Walked the dog twice yesterday. Weekends are somewhat active but no "real" exercise. Don't really need to because I hit it hard M-F.

Keeping exercise fresh and changing up is not only good for my joints but also my spirit. Last week was spin and weight room. This week is spin and TRX.

Today, spin followed by TRX.

Hola all and happy Monday! Chest day. Eh, Iím not getting the heavier sets. Got the lighter ones though. Next time Iím going to take 10-15lbs off each set and rebuild once again. Incline presses went ok. I still got a good workout though. No yard work today! Tomorrowís routine is Back exercises. Take care all!

Hafa Adai!

Welcome, kbm!

Walking, yoga and light weights. Deep hip openers, mindful breathing and enjoying happy baby aka Ananda Balasana.

"This pose gently brings a greater awareness to the hip joints.

Benefits of Doing Happy Baby Pose

With this pose, you open the hips and give a stretch to your inner thighs, hamstrings at the back of the thighs, and groin. It releases the back and the sacrum. You may notice one hip is tighter than the other and then know which to target for better flexibility and mobility.

In yoga, this move is recommended for relief of stress and fatigue, to calm and center you. You have probably watched a baby grab its toes and play with them, perhaps envying that simple motion and sense of wonder. Grabbing your toes as a baby does brings you back to the flexible spine you had as a baby.

Targets: Hip opener, hamstrings, inner thighs, groin

Howdy all! Glad for see everyone kicking butt!! Welcome KTB! Took the weekend off for a home improvement project... Sump pump.. all went ok till i hit solid limestone 2 feet down... I fought all weekend on it and got to 5 ft. Not sure how many trips up the stairs I did with 5 gallon buckets... And learned a lesson about callouses, I got callouses I'm sure most do from knurl on weight bars... If you swing a sledgehammer for two days they will in fact rub off.. so hands are a bit gruesome looking... Project ain't done... Waiting for a buddy who's gonna loan me a jack hammer. Anyway tonight I somehow pulled off a pretty decent lift. Chest could of went better. Wants to do dumbells only... Shoulder couldn't take the stabilizing part .... Only had the 50s trying to warm up.. went to straight bar and got over 300 but didn't get the rep count I wanted. Did a chain burnout set afterwards and that went good! Moved to paused deadlifts after that with 375, 3x5. Holy cow those smoked me!!!!! Gonna try to add them once a week. No cardio as the side of the basement is tore up for now. Anyway gonna do back tomorrow before dreaded legs on Wednesday! Y'all have a great night!!

kbm, I forgot to welcome you yesterday. Welcome!

Good spin class yesterday. TRX workout is great but I struggle accepting it starting late and too much chatter between exercises. I either have to accept the way it is OR do something else. I can't afford resentments; no alcoholic can (according to BB).

Rode bike to work today.

Hola all! Back routines today. Went well. I think Iím going to mix up my routines soon. I work out an hour and nothing feels particularly worn out. I miss doing the old dumbbell rows. They were always pretty tough to do. Next routine, probably tomorrow, will be Delts, Triceps, and Biceps. I may start doing Biceps on Chest day soon. Thatís all for now!

Sounds like you were busy this weekend, Butcher70! Iím pretty sure none of my friends would have a jackhammer I could borrow, lol
