TRX was great yesterday. Rode bike to work today (don't be impressed; fortunate that it's only 2.5 miles flat road).

Work commitment today trumps yoga but I have time for spin class!

Howdy all! Rack pulls today. Got up to 525 and cleared it. Than couldn't budge 545. Not sure if it was a good day or not since I've never done them. Time will tell. Did ball throws and battle ropes for cardio. Tomorrow I'm gonna rest than go back it Saturday night after work. Hope all of you have a good one!

Hola all! Chest and Back day. Everything went okay. I kinda want to up the bench presses 5lbs more next time, but I should be patient and let it get easier still. Deadlifts were kinda amusing. On my last set, my closed grip failed , but I got the last two reps anyway by the bar hanging on my fingers. You wouldnít think your fingers could still support the weight like that. Tomorrowís routine is Delts, Triceps, and Biceps. This morningís weigh in had me down 1.2 to 202.8lbs. Take care all!

Good going everyone!

Yesterday was great: biked to work then did a spin class. Today, probably nothing as Good Friday service is during regular gym time.

Wishing all a good weekend!

New to the forum. Worked out on a regular basis thanks in part to the specific career I had as a First Responder. Since retiring though a few years and dealing with my son's addiction issues and fallout, my previous healthy lifestyle kind of went by the wayside.

I've started back at it recently as I needed to start taking care of myself again and exercising is great physically and emotionally as I start refocusing on good and positive things again. Ending up in the back of an ambulance 2x late last year with cardiac symptoms that were later found to be all stress related was a pretty good indication that I needed to make changes! 60 is the new 30!

Today:
Every Minute On The Minute (EMOM) for 40 minutes (40 rounds) I did;
5 Bulgarian Bag Snatches and 30 seconds of Heavy Bag Strikes and Kicks.

Welcome Jiggs!

No workout for me today, plus I stuffed my face with Steak and Shake!

Hola all and TGIF! Welcome aboard Jiggs! That must be an exhausting 40 minutes! I had to look up the Bulgarian bag snatch. Reminds me of that kettlebell swing people do.

So. Today was my Delts, Triceps, and Biceps workout. Went really well! Overhead barbell presses went better than last time. Been a long time since I did those. I find myself leaning back at the waist at the bottom of the movement before I get it overhead and straighten again. Kinda works on the spine a bit. Is that normal? Anyway, went a bit heavier with seated Triceps extensions and ez bar curls, which is nice. Good to see some progress! Tomorrow’s routine is Legs and Forearms followed by yard work. Really looking forward to taking it easy on Sunday. Take care all!

Upstairs- I watched "free solo" on hulu last night and I couldn't get over how the guy could use just a finger sometimes to grip and pull himself up to climb like he did.

Welcome Jiggs!

Thanks! Most of my workouts consist of Bulgarian Bags, Kettlebells, Sandbbags, dumbbells, bodyweight, resistance bands. Nothing too heavy. Sandbags are up to 60 lbs, Bulgarian Bags up to 50, Kettlebells up to 40.

I used to do a lot of power lifting back in the day but my joints can't take it anymore so I've backed off considerably. At this point in my life it's not about running down and fighting bad guys any more, it's about being able to keep weight off, running up the stairs, keep my heart healthy, keeping disease and illness at bay the best I can while keeping "a little" muscle on and feeling good physically and mentally.

Today some Kettlebells! 3 Part workout.

Part 1
EMOM for 8 Minutes 8 Kettlebell Goblet Squats.

Part 2
Single Kettlebell Complex:
Clean & Press (Left & Right Sides)
Bent Over Rows (Left & Right Sides)
Before changing sides 6 KB Push Ups Ea Time
Reps: 6,5,4,3,2,1,1,2,3,4,5,6

Part 3
Kettlebell Finisher:
EMOM for 8 Minutes 4 Kb Headcutter/Burpees

Have a great Saturday!!

Hola all! Legs and Forearms day. Iím so glad thatís over with until Wednesday. Judging by my difficulty going up and down my stairs I must have had a good workout. Ugh. I finally didnít skip a day this week so Iíll take my scheduled day off tomorrow. I guess Iíll do some light yard work later today and maybe tomorrow morning if itís not raining.

Great to see so many exercising this weekend. Another impressive workout Jiggs! Take care all!

Happy Easter everyone!

Shaun T kicked my butt this morning with "Rockin Abs" ~ only a 30 minute routine but that "Drill Extreme" is a killer.....I can't imagine trying out his "Insanity" workouts!

Happy Easter Everyone!!

Rest day today so it was a good day to get out of the house now that our 4 days of rain has finally ended. Did the trails this morning around our village, a little mucky and my boots will never be the same again but the fresh air was worth it.

Have a great day!
