Hola all and TGIF! Just did my Back routines today. All went well! Pull ups have gotten much easier for me, but I still have great difficulty with the wide grip pull ups, however. You wouldn’t think widening your grip that little bit would make it that much harder, but it does! Deadlifts went ok. What amuses me about them is that my last set, I couldn’t budge it. If that was the bench press, I’d have stopped and tried again next week. With deadlifts, I knew I just hadn’t tried hard enough. Rest a minute and try again. Wouldn’t budge. Rested another a minute and got three reps. You have to really commit yourself to the lift. Anyway. Tomorrow’s routine is Delts, Triceps, and Biceps. Supposed to rain all day and I’m caught up on house cleaning, so I’ll get to take my time with it. This morning’s weigh in had me back up to 200.2. Hope to hear from you all again this weekend!

Howdy all! Hope all are having a great weekend! Chest tonight. Went well. Did not go too heavy. Lots of reps and 5 second pause reps with chains. Not allot of gas in the tank tonight. Did battle ropes and ball throws for cardio. Not totally fatigued but took the steam out of me. Got to get ready to roll out for work. Y'all have a great night!!!

Hola hola! Delts, Triceps, and Biceps are all done. Good workout. I finally added on some more weight to a couple exercises that had been static for months. Exercises like dumbbell laterals seem like they’re more about getting your form right than what weight it is. Five more pounds is a big jump on that one. Tomorrow’s routine is Legs and Forearms. Forgot to weigh myself this morning, but I doubt I’m down in weight. That’s all for now. Take care all!

Yesterday I didn't workout, but I'm pretty sure I got exercise at the concert based on how sweaty I got....going to see them tonight for round two!

Yoga. There's a different rhythm to my yoga this weekend.

Walking. Increasing speed and distance.

Gardening. Strawberry plants from a new friend. Mental/zen fitness. My first goal is to cut out the old leaves. Then to temporarily plant them in cardboard boxes coffee cups came in.

Final goal: plant in hanging planters!



Planning on light weights later today.

Hola all! Legs and Forearms day. Same old routines. I think I’d get a better workout if I could hurry myself along. Too much time between sets. So tomorrow’s routine is Chest and Back. Forgot to weigh myself again this morning. Duh.

After I did all my squats, I left the last 45s on the bar and did an overhead press. Felt surprisingly heavy. I don’t think I’ve been working my shoulders as well as I want with those landmine presses. I guess I’ll start with barbell overhead presses and then maybe landmine presses to failure after on my next Delts day. Should be fun. I hope everyone has been having a good weekend!

Hola all and happy Monday! Chest and Back day. Had a really strong feeling workout today. Got all my bench press reps at the new weight. Felt great during my Back routines, except deadlifts, of course. Got those reps too, but they felt really heavy. I think some of my success with the weights comes from eating more. Nothing else has really changed. It’s just a mixed bag. Very hard to only gain muscle with no fat hanging on for the ride. Tomorrow’s routine is Delts, Triceps, and Biceps. Weight was right on 200.0.

Evening all! Legs tonight. Box squats, weighted lunges, calf rasises. Did some overhead presses too. Gonna add em in hoping they help with pullups, wanted to gauge where I was at. 135 and got 3x5. Could be worse I guess... Long ways to go up though. For cardio heavy bag work, tire flips with hammer till exhaustion got me. Done and done. Not sure what's on tommorows menu. Keeping after it all and great job!

Great job everyone.

Had to miss spin due to a work commitment but made it to TRX. Weight stayed steady. Very pleased: at 5' 2 1/2" weighed 117.4 lbs. TRX has me lean and not so mean!

Hola all. Delts, Triceps, and Biceps were worked out today. Started out with barbell overhead presses. Went well. Felt kinda awkward bringing the bar down in front, but I got used to it. The landmine presses after felt much heavier. Everything else went okay. Tomorrow’s routine is Legs and Forearms. Ugh. Weight was up to 203.4lbs this morning. Double ugh.

Butcher70 - I read one of the ways to help with pull-ups is to slowly lower yourself from the bar. When you can make it last 30 seconds it’s supposed to be the equivalent of one rep. You might try chin ups too, palms facing towards you. They might be easier at first too. Hope that helps!

Good evening all! Glad to see everyone still kicking butt! Upstairs thanks for the tips bud! Will definitely give it a try. My pullup game is weak and I really want to tone my back up. Tonight was arms. Went ok. Legs are stiff as boards today and my arm workout is not too bad. Should probably add something to it. Did slamballs and throws with the lighter ones for cardio. I got a day off tomorrow!! Been looking forward to it for three weeks. Got to fight/fix my lawnmower than lift chest. Y'all have a great night!!!

Did yoga yesterday. Today is TRX. Not sure if I'll go to Zumba after--I'm behind in my work, plus going to spin tomorrow. I don't really need cardio two days in a row.

Hola all and happy hump day! Legs and Forearms day is done. Kinda grueling. My back was kinda stiff today, so that didn’t help doing squats any. Tomorrow’s routine is Chest and Back. I best get some sleep tonight. This morning’s weigh in had me at 204.0.

“Let’s get this over with” is what I caught myself saying before every set of squats. I definitely need to try and be more positive when I exercise, lol.

Howdy all! Glad to see all well! I lost a battle with a lawnmower today. Dang it. But had a great chest workout!! Absolutely crushed it. Felt awesome. Had a ton of power even though I didn't eat the best today. Did push-ups and all throws for cardio. Tomorrow I want to do rack pulls. Never done em before. My sticking points on deads is right around my knees. Hopeing to work that area. Upstairs don't feel bad cursing squats, I curse the whole way through a leg workout and hate it the whole time. I should work on being more positive on it as well. But the only part I like about lifting legs is when I'm done! Hope all of you have a great night!
