Guys, lifting with no shoes?! I care about you guys so please wear proper attire.

That said, Upstairs, hope the toe heals quickly. I once walked into something at the gym, must've been looking up and bang! My ankle or lower leg ended up with a nasty bruise. Wearing shoes didn't help me then!

Hoping to go to yoga class today. Spin and TRX were great yesterday.

I forgot to mention to my sponsor last night about Mr. Ringo asking me to not lose anymore weight. And I was a pound heavier when I weighed this morning. Oh well!

I did some strength training today and I may walk later. I know I said dessert only once a week but I find if it keep track of it I think too much about it. So I am not keeping track. I do better that way. lol

Change of plans: did spin class instead of yoga. I needed to burn some nervous energy instead of working on balance, strength and serenity.

Top of the evening all! Just crushed a chest workout! Dumbbells, straight bar, ladmine presses. Followed up with tire, hammer, bag work for cardio. Felt awesome!!! Glad to see all still kicking butt!! Y'all have a great night!!

Hola all! Delts, Triceps, and Biceps day is over. Everything went ok. I felt I got in a better triceps workout than I had been getting. I’m hoping these landmine presses are primarily working out my front delts, I’m trying to get under the thing as well as I can. I may switch to barbell presses for a change of pace later. The ceiling is actually high enough to allow it in that side of the basement. Anyway, tomorrow’s routine is Legs and Forearms. Good to see so many here getting some activity in their day!

Good to see everyone is 'crushing it' in their own way.

Mr. Ringo said the sweetest thing to me on Sunday: Please don't lose anymore weight.

He wasn't just being a sweetie. The dietician told me I don't need to lose anymore weight either. Guess I'm going to eat more vegetables.

Hola all and happy hump day! Legs and Forearms day is over. Wore everything out, (a good thing), except my back is a little sore. When my legs get really fatigued, I started using my back too much when lifting dumbbells off the floor during dumbbell squats and calf raises. Anyway, tomorrow’s routine is Chest & Back. Safe lifting, all!

I started yoga early today and plan to bookend things and end my evening with yoga.

Other goals for the day: basketball, light weights, push-ups and stretching.

What do you listen to while exercising?

The birds have been super loud and harmonious - listening to them and running water from streams and waterfalls.

Choosing playlists has lately been a mix of War*hall, Guardians of the Galaxy soundtracks, Jack Johnson and Andy Grammer.

I usually listen to the instructor. (smile)

Taking a break from solo work-outs and unbelievably, I'm leaner, didn't think I could get more definition, and my clothes are getting looser.

If, or when the sun ever comes out and temps go up, I'll go outside for brisk walks. When I walk outside, I just listen to my thoughts. But when I walk the dog by myself, I listen to a recorded OA meeting or OA speaker.

Hoping to go to yoga today and completing the hour. Last week halfway through I pooped out (too much exercise, perhaps not enough food). Not making that mistake today.

I like to listen to rock music.....

Most recent exercise dvds have been helpful ~ today was strength training with weighted gloves but it just put me in a crappier mood...hopefully tomorrow will be better....

Hola all. Chest and Back were worked out today. Still not getting my last, heaviest, rep on bench presses, but the rest were gotten so all is good. Back sets are going well. Pull ups have gotten easier, but still can’t do the wide grip ones. Something to work towards still! Tomorrow’s routine is Delts, Triceps, & Biceps. I have to do some yard work too. Going to be a long Friday.

Good to hear you’re doing better with the group workouts, Ringo123. I’d stick with what works!

TGIF! Delts, Triceps. & Biceps were worked out today. Felt great during today’s routines. Maybe it was due to having a big breakfast for a change. Might have to see if that was the trick tomorrow during my dreaded Legs & Forearms workout. Anyway, added some weight here and there. Hardly any pain when I exercise lately, which just makes everything easier. I had today off and did no yard work. It rained steady all day. Probably still raining out there. I hope to hear what the rest of you are up to this weekend! Take care all!

Howdy all! Took a few days off from lifting. Work got busy. Did deadlifts tonight and it went pretty well. 445x3, 465x2 and a 485 single. Form felt good. Gonna do this same set next week and if all still good try to up the weight. Gonna do legs tommorow...... Ug..... For music i pretty much listen to mettalica, Slipknot, mudvayne, more mettalica and other loud stuff. Need to get a new system I blew out a speaker in my old one. Using my iPod now. Anyway hope all of you have a great weekend!!!

Rock on Butcher! I'm going to a "Rockfest" concert that's got a bunch of bands with my boys Godsmack headlining....holy crap it's a week from tomorrow! That's my favorite kind of exercise.....jumping up and down, dancing while my favorite band is on stage

Yesterday I slacked and ate Taco Bell....ugh....trying not to beat myself up too much, but I got up this morning & did a Shaun T dvd

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Upping reps today with light weights. Feeling a bit shattered emotionally. Weird, in a good way, to simply recognize it and keep moving forward. My life is undergoing renovations in emotional and spiritual ways.

I've been taking walks outside and am planning on yoga later.

Hola all. Took my rest day yesterday, so today I did Legs & Forearms. Pretty good workout! After my regular barbell squats, I did three sets of 20 with just my body weight instead of doing dumbbell squats. I think doing lots of reps with a lighter weight will help with my form. Plus dumbbell squats are really tough for me. They’re almost like half squat half deadlifts. Had a great Forearms workout. I was having trouble writing in my ledger after the later sets from my hands being so fatigued. Tomorrow’s routine is Chest & Back.

I either listen to talk radio or loud music while I workout plus a big, noisy fan going. It takes my mind off things plus it drowns out the horrible snaps and pops some of my joints make.
