Hafa adai!

Glad to hear all the updates and glad Lady and all of you are doing well!!

I'm keeping up my yoga, light weights and walking. Ramped up meditation a lot lately. Allowing trauma much space to be transformed, joy room to increase and trusting the process.

It hurts. Life is good. Ironic how it can be both.

Goals for today: laughter, healthy connections with people plus alternating slowing down my pace with going faster, and looking for enjoyment in both.

Well last day of the week so it's time for an endurance kettlebell workout.

Every Minute On The Minute - EMOM for 40 Minutes I did the following circuit;
8 Swings
6 Snatches (3 right, 3 left)
4 Goblet Squats

I was toast after this. A lot of volume in a very short period of time. The challenge was keeping good form throughout.
320 Swings
240 Snatches
160 Squats
It worked out to about 45 seconds of work and 15 seconds of rest each minute.

Have a great weekend everyone. Treat yourself well and be safe. See you all Monday!

If I was coordinated enough Purplrks3647 I would give those videos a try, they look like pretty good workouts. But the good Lord blessed me with two left feet and uncanny tone deafness so it won't be happening any time soon. Rhythm just isn't in my blood.

Yesterday was a day of adding more gardens (less grass to cut and the Mrs enjoys tending to the gardens so it's a win win!!) and other assorted "honey do" jobs. Those never seen to end.

So today I snuck in a Leg Workout with the 50# Bulgarian Bag a deck of cards and a 40# kettlebell.

Hearts: 6 Squats for each Heart drawn
Diamond: 6 Step Ups for each Diamond drawn
Clubs: 6 Calf Raises (3 count on way down) for each Club drawn
Spades: 6 Deadlifts for each Club drawn
After every 4th Card: 90lb (Bag plus a Kettlebell) Carry across the back yard (150 feet), and then 6 Bag Snatches.
Jokers: Do an extra circuit of the above.

Deal out 4 Cards at a time and do the associated exercise & reps with the cards drawn. Go through the circuit as quickly as possible.

That's it! Enjoy your Sunday folks!

Nearing the end of this quarter challenge, I'm celebrating:

Greater stamina

Greater balance and ease physically and mentally

More muscle and leaner body mass

Better awareness and use of breathing techniques and how they relate to my physical health

A greater sense of community in participating here

Today's goals:

Walking and running in an old historical city. Meditation. Yoga. Light weights.

DS12 and I played a longer than expected game of PIG yesterday, with both of us making most of our shots with the basketball, even with me matching some of his "dribble, turn, under leg, take the shot" fun and inspired challenges.

Life is good.

Top of the evening all! Glad to see all you crushing it!! Took Friday to Sunday off. Went to graveyard shift and had family stuff. Did heavy deads and lighter paused bench tonight. Went awesome!! Whole workout did. Rocked my deadlifts. Did 3x3 455. Than some paused with 405. Bench was 6x7 195-245. Had to fight but finished my rep count. Was going to do Jiggs Rowe's but decided to try something different as a cardio burnout towards the end. Went to my garage and did a pullup, dropped down did a pushup and repeat. Got 14 of both before my pullups were absolutely not happening. Felt pretty good. Probably gonna do cardio tommorow. Thinking tire, hammer and bag work. Wednesday gonna try to find a heavier tire one from 4-5 hundred pounds. Got a lead on some. Hope all of you have a great night and day!!

Hello all. Great day yesterday that included 65 min spin followed by TRX. What kicked my butt was the unusual heat. San Francisco Bay Area will get occasional heat spells but temps go back down until the next heat wave.

Thinking of an outdoor weighted walk today which gets in my cardio, a little arm work holding light weights and I get to work on my tan.

Kayaking was goooood! Current wasn't stupid strong so I was able to make my way back up steam. Pretty sure I got in a good 10-12km at least in. Arms, shoulders got a good workout, no doubt I'll be feeling it in the morning. Had to portage in a couple of spots. Obviously they haven't closed the dams yet downstream and the water is getting pretty low on a few spots even after all of our rain.

Butcher70, that's the next thing the list, sledge hammer, a tire for hammering and a larger one for tossing! Did that a few times at our SWAT gym...they had all The good toys, what a blast!! The Mrs is ok with the smaller tire but she still isn't convinced about the larger one. She thinks it ruin the back yard or it'll roll into her gardens.

Anyway have a great evening folks!!

Purps, you and Shawn are having quite a fling!

Jiggs, you know what they say: happy wife, happy life.

MW, my first outdoor weighted walk of 2019 was wonderful! Hope to do it again Thursday.

Today I rode my bike to work and today is TRX at 1130.

Purps- I love that meme! So funny!! It is okay to take a break. I am sure you will kill the next workout because of it.

Jiggs- tell your wife at least the tire isnít inside the house! (Just kidding not sure if that is actually a good idea! lol )

Ringo- I am glad you are getting outside! Sounds beautiful there.

I am sore from yesterday so I walked two miles and will swim later. Then maybe do that workout that made me sore tomorrow again.

Howdy all! Got my new tire!!! First step was loading it in my truck..... Got it!! Guessing weight is 550-600. It's miserable, it hurts, and I love it! Normally do two trips to end of driveway and back with hammer and push-ups like I do with my 350lb tire in my basement. I got two trips with my new one.... No hammer work, no pushups, no jumps cause I'm shot. That was an ego checker!! Rest of the day is going to be hanging out with the wife and mutt. Jiggs, I spent 8 years on our regional swat team. Miss it every day. Some wild and crazy times. Never used a tire in the yard so no idea if they tear yard up... Anyway I'm pretty sure I'm gonna survive no so I'm gonna shower. Y'all have a great night!!!

Butcher, you're killing it. I love it!

Yesterday was superb--great weather to ride bike to work, TRX at 1130.

Today at work we're a "Field Day", which means this morning we'll be cleaning, vacuuming the office, general clean up followed by a bbq and volleyball. I like the clean up part but most likely will either skip the social aspect or just stop by to say hello while taking a brisk walk on this beautiful island.

I also forgot the good news, well, pretty good news: I'm down another two pounds to 114.6. I'm not skinny

Butcher- that is great about the new tire. Very cool!! Enjoy.

Ringo- I hope you enjoy field day and feel good at your weight. Thatís the most important thing. I like to feel strong and healthy.

I did laps in the pool for twenty minutes and laid out in the sun. I figure something has got to kill me and I only did it thirty minutes. Then I did the circuit I posted above twice.

Shoulders, arms, back almost recovered from my first kayaking adventure of the year, so today I did a full body kettlebell complex. Long day of deliveries lined up for tomorrow so that usually leaves me smoked by the end of the day.

Did this Complex 8x. Managed to get through it 3x before I needed to stop for a wee bit of a rest. It's a great endurance workout!

Swings 8
Snatch 4 Right/4 Left
Clean & Press 4 Right/4 Left
Front Squat 4 Right/4 Left
Rows 4 Right/4 Left
Headcutters 8
Tricep Press 8
Curls 8
Rpt x8

Some more yard Work lined up for the weekend, and maybe another kayaking journey so that'll be it for me until next week.

Enjoy the weekend folks & Happy Dads Day to all of us Dads!!
