Hola all and happy Monday. Hope everyone had a pleasant Memorial Day. Chest and Back day for me. I went ahead and did my regular full workout except I took some weight off and skipped deadlifts. Deadlifts feel like they might be too much on me yet. Rest went ok. Iím hoping Iíll be back to where I was by July. I was kinda hoping to get where I was benching up to 300 again by my birthday in August, but this silly surgery has probably nixed that. Irksome. Tomorrowís routine is Delts, Triceps, and Biceps. Going to try and do my regular routine with those too, but a little lighter as well. Take care all!

Hope my American friends had a good holiday weekend while remembering those who paid the ultimate price for our freedoms.

Today was another full body workout, similar to my last one. Trying out lighter dumbbells while increasing the "time under tension" for each rep, steady and slow with a pause at the top and bottom of each rep.

Seems to be working or I'm just getting more aches and pains from getting old! Going to follow this routine for a couple of weeks with a smattering of Cardio, Kettlebells and Bulgarian Bag workouts thrown in just for fun.

Evening all! Glad to see all still after it! Chest, squats and deadlifts tonight. Deadlifts went ok.... Not gonna say great, but way better than last time. Squats went ok. Crushed the chest part. Jiggs I had to look up renegade rows and steal em from ya. Did two pushups style sets till failure got 21 first set and 15 the next to finish my workout. Used my 70 lb dumbells.... Thank God there hex not round or would have been stablizing them the whole time. Hit battle ropes three rounds and one set on the ab wheel. I will definitely take tonight's workout! Needed a good one to boost morale. No idea what tommorows workout will be. Y'all have a great night!!!

Today will be a rainy cool one spent on a soccer pitch watching my daughter's soccer team try to beat being eliminated from going on to the Provincial finals.

Afterwards I'll probably get in a bike ride.

Hi All! Back from vacation. Lots of walking, some canoeing, no "real" exercise. I feel great though. And no need to wear stretch pants, thankfully.

Well daughter's soccer team have won their Conference Championship, Division Championship and yesterday won gold in the Regional Championship. Now it's on to the Provincial Championship! A great final year for her and the team!

Today, kept it quick and simple as it's an early morning and work.

40lb Bulgarian Bag Workout;

6 x Squat, Clean, Press followed by 20 seconds of rest. Rpt 20x

About 85 minutes of spin yesterday. Felt great. Good music.

Spin and TRX today. Weighed in last night at dietician's office 119.5 and this morning at home, 116 lbs. Different scales, different time of day--either way I feel good about it considering 10 days in Hawaii, seven of which were on a cruise ship!

Hola all and happy hump day! Delts, Triceps, and Biceps day. Skipped yesterday. I slept really badly the night before my two weeks follow up appointment. Just anxiety over what heíd tell me, I guess. The doctor cleared me to exercise like normal, so good news there. Anyway, routines today felt really difficult even after subtracting some weight and excluding a few exercises. Iím not that much weaker though. I should be back to where I left off by July. I hope! Tomorrowís routine is Legs and Forearms. Take care all!

Welcome back Ringo123! I find it really annoying when scales donít match. I miss the old balance scales, I have more faith in those than the electronics, lol.

Evening all! Ringo welcome back hope your had a great trip! Jiggs that's awesome your daughters team did so well, I'll wish em luck in the big game! Upstairs glad your cleared and good to go. You will probably be back to full go look g before July! Anyway, tonight was paused bench, 215-255 2x7 each weight, paused squats with sadly the same weight as I bench.... OHPs instead of deads tonight. 6x7 105-125. Than I did pull ups for 5 sets till failure, I actually got 5,5,4,3,2,2!! Don't sound like much but is huge for me! Was absolutely pumped. Pullups are my nemesis. I hated them and are a huge weak point for me. All the deads I've been doing must have my back strong enough to do them now. They were straight arm pullups also. For cardio tonight after I did negative pushups, slam ball overhead throws and wall throws. Two pretty damn good workouts in a row! Rest tomorrow and bench and squats Friday with heavy deadlifts to finish off. Y'all have a great night!!

Thanks, loved the trip.

Jiggs, please don't be jealous but it was my 6th trip to the state of Hawaii. First time to Oahu for Mr. Ringo and I (previously with other spouses) and our second visit to the other islands.

Thanks to sobriety I am a good employee which has helped make all travel possible.

Butcher, you're killing it! Love reading your posts.

Upstairs, glad to hear you can exercise again. My almost two weeks not in the gym was really felt yesterday at TRX.

Wednesday is usually my hardest fitness day: biked to work, spin class followed by TRX. Today should be a rest day. I have paperwork to catch up on but the two main software programs here at work are down...so I just might be able to justify going next door... (that's how close the gym is).

Today I did one of Shaun T's strength training videos with the weighted gloves....it's been a while since I've done any of the more difficult routines.....like I'm stalling or something.....better than nothing I guess?

Today, got out the 50lb Bulgarian Bag....might not sound like much by this thing is a frggn beast!!!

Bulgarian Bag Snatches x5, 5 Push Ups,
Followed immediately by 30 sec on the heavy bag (strikes & kicks)
....then 30sec rest
Rpt 25x

Then did 6 hrs of yard work, cutting, trimming and freshening the gardens up with mulch. Went through 60 Bags! This old guy is whooped!

Hola all and TGIF! Didnít do my workouts yesterday as I wound up having to work late. Iíll work those legs on Sunday. Todayís workout was Chest and Back. Went well! Still lighter than a few weeks back, but I completed everything including the old deadlifts. It was kinda nice doing deadlifts that didnít feel crazy heavy for a change. I may start doing more reps with those next time. 7/5/3 or something. Tomorrowís routine is Deltoids, Triceps, & Biceps. Take care all!

Good job Purps! Sounds like youíre making progress!

Good evening all! Bench and deads tonight. Deadlifts went way better than they have been. Cleared my sets zero problem and form felt good. Gonna up weight next time 10lbs. Bench didn't go too great. Had two really good chest days in a row, think they caught up to me. Wanted 5 sets, got 3 and the last rep wasn't pretty. Think thats a sign time to take a few off and do just cardio. For cardio tonight I read Jiggs above workout and that made me tired just reading it!! Respect to you brother!! That looked like a damn hard workout!! For cardio I actually did some bag work trying to build speed up. That's a wrap for the night. Glad to see you are all still kicking butt! Stay after it and all have a great night/day!

This morning I did a 10 minute standing abs video w/ Shaun T, then walked w/ some music around the neighborhood for 50 minutes....nothing too strenuous but it got the heart rate up

Hola all. Delts, Triceps, and Biceps were worked out today. Holy moly was that an ordeal. Everything just feels harder to do now. Plus Iím still sore from yesterday. Iím beat, but at least I completed all the sets. Score one for will power! Tomorrowís routine is Legs and Forearms. If it goes like my other post layoff workouts and I go regular on the squats, Iím going to be crazy sore on Monday. Ugh.

Purp - just curious. What were you doing for a standing Abs workout?
