Hola all! Delts, Triceps, and Biceps day. Great workout. Getting used to those standing barbell overhead presses. May go heavier on my close grip bench presses next time. Iím doing sets of 12 and I keep reading itís better building strength with fewer, heavier reps. Iím also wondering if I really need to lower them all the way down or not. Iíll read up on it. Rambling! Tomorrowís routine is Legs and Forearms. That has to go better than last time. Take care all!

Evening all! Had to take a couple days off for work. Finally got a good lift in tonight. Missed my last rep in my last set of cleans. Not by much just didnt have the oomph towards the end. Did those first than Ripped through dips, shrugs, farmers walk, overhead presses and ab wheel. Did battle ropes for cardio. Not too bad tonight. Glad to see everyone still kicking butt!! You guys are awesome!! Not sure what I'm gonna do tommorow for exercise but we will see. Y'all have a great night!

This whole gang is awesome!

75 minutes spin yesterday and right back to work. I am so behind in data entry. Oh well, super grateful for the job.

TRX today. Rode bike to work today too. Feeling good.

Went for a nice long walk around the village this morning. This afternoon finally got around to cutting the grass....ummm, weeds, not much grass. Now working away at that "Honey Do" list that I've been neglecting......gotta get some points back in the "good" column.

Hafa adai!

Walking & yoga today.

Ringo, many blessings for your brother-in-law, the life he lived, his passing and your family. Will there be a memorial or funeral?

Hola. Took yesterdayís workout off. Had to do stuff. So Iím skipping Legs & Forearms until Saturday. Chest and Back routines today. Went great! Got all my sets and reps, pretty much. I usually do a few sets of these reverse grip landmine rows, but my lower back was starting to let me know it was time to call it a night. Deadlifts took a lot out of me. Theyíre supposed to be great for you, but who knows. It does seem like my whole body has to chip in to move the weight. Definitely not increasing any weights on tonightís exercises for next time. So tomorrowís routine is Delts, Triceps, and Biceps. If I get out of work early Iíll do some yard cardio too. Take care all!

Hafa adai!

Early morning yoga, deep stretches and a short run.

Goals today: breathe deeply, awareness of using my breath for relaxation and energy, light weights and walking.

Goal: increase my stamina.

If you've got, say, a three-day weekend to prepare physically and mentally for your next major challenge, there's ample time to begin building endurance.

Release Your Muscle Tension

When you push too hard for days without properly unwinding, mental tension turns into tight muscles that block energy flow. The best solution is to stretch. An even "better best" solution is to engage in a mind-body practice like yoga, or even tai chi, which involves breath work.

Make use of music!

Music increases exercise performance, delays fatigue and increases performance and endurance, power and strength.

Hi friends I've been taking it easy while trying to knock out this cold, but ready to get back into it....hopefully this weekend.

I did see an advertisement today that I could not resist: a new event coming up called "Yoga with Tigers" at our local Big Cat Rescue/Sanctuary! I signed up ASAP 'cause I know it'll sell out...It'll be in just a few weeks on May 25....can't wait!

Hola all and TGIF! Had a very good Delts, Triceps, and Biceps workout this evening. Added some weight onto my overhead barbell presses. I think I’d rather do them sitting down, but I’d have to figure out the racking/racking part. Anyway, wore myself out tonight. Yay! Tomorrow’s routine is Legs and Forearms. My knees have been bothering me since last weekend. Maybe a workout will unkink everything.

Results back from my doctors check up. Everything is great except for my kidney functions, which have gotten worse. They were low already. Now he wants me to come back in for some additional tests. Meh. I guess we’ll sort it out.

Tiger yoga sounds fun, Purps! You should do that!

Top of the evening everyone! Ringo, very sorry to hear about your brother in law, I'll keep you and your family in my prayers. Jiggs, Brother you definitely stay after it! and it sounds like your workouts are definitely hard! Upstairs great job on the gain on OHP, and hope your doc gets your kidneys dialed me. I'm type 1 diabetic so my kidneys are under watch. Purps yoga with tigers would make for a dang good story! Mango I agree music is huge in my workouts too! Anyway all, back at it tonight after a few day break from work stuff. Did rack pulls tonight and absolutely crushed it!!! Should really help for my deadlifts next week. Got up to 545 and got a double on it! Got a line on some used equipment 20 minutes from my house. Lat pulldown machine and a cross cable machine. Gonna see the shape and if it will work and fit in my basement height wise I'm gonna do it. Getting it all downstairs might well be that workout of that day if it happens. Hope all of you have a great night and weekend! Gonna hopefully hit chest tommorow night.

Hola all. I’ll still have to go in for more tests, but I think my kidneys may be ok. I read online the most basic test they do for kidney function is for creatine levels. Creatine in your blood is a sign they weren’t filtered out. I’m taking creatine supplements daily, so I think that is throwing the test off. I feel more optimistic now. It did seem strange to me I have these low functioning kidneys but no symptoms of such. Anyhow, thought I’d share as creatine is pretty widely used and promoted as being very safe.

That’s great on getting the new equipment Butcher70! I had assumed you had a pulldown machine. Thatll really help with the Lats.

Back again! Knocked out another Legs and Forearms workout. Went ok. Not feeling my best today so I didnít push myself much. Course I will probably have to mow grass in a few minutes. Nothing like exhausting your legs and grip before pushing a lawn mower around. It really is better I mow it every week instead of waiting until itís harder to do though.

Butcher70 - you really are doing great with those deadlifts. You must really enjoy them. Iím usually too worried about wrecking my back to push myself with those. Maybe if I did a little more sets Iíd gain confidence.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Howdy all! Upstairs, thanks bud! I just wish my bench would follow suit. It took a long time for me to feel confident going up in weight. And the guy hasn't called me back on the equipment yet.. hope to hear from him by the end of the weekend. My lats need work and would really like that pull down. Anyway, did chest tonight. Went awesome till my last rep.... Really hope this isn't becoming a trend. Had 325 on after blasting through everything and totally failed on it. I'm not sure if I'm doing too many reps before it or if it's mental, form, strength or s combo of all the above. Guess we will see. Did some slam ball after for cardio and that wraps it up. Might rest tomorrow or do something like arms and cardio. We'll see how I feel. Hope all of you are having a great Sunday!

Hey everyone ~ Hope all goes well with the tests Upstairs

It's been a week since I've worked out....this cold has been lingering and i can't decide whether to keep putting off exercise for another day, or if I'm just making excuses....definitely feeling "off" but at least I can be mindful as to why.

You guys are doing great! Hoping to be back at it ASAP

Yes, that counts!

Just as in all things with recovery, learning kindness for self, allowing perceptions to change and "One Day At A Time".

Jiggs, classic 70's rock is one of my all time favorites.

Upstairs, I have slightly diminished kidney function too. Doctor's keeping an eye on it (being tested every few months).

Purps, Oh yes! Walking counts.

Friday was a busy day at work. TRX at lunch time squeezed in. Active weekend but no 'formal exercise'.

Spin/TRX today.
