Hafa adai!

Yesterday's goals were achieved in beautifully imperfect ways!! I love how great this works!

The second 12 step meeting had a volunteer request for a chair and I stepped in. An unfamiliar format was great for getting me out of my comfort zone and allowing imperfections to be embraced. This hits home in many ways with acceptance of self, others, life, healing, gaining strength and overall fitness.

Another day. One day at a time. Goals: running, arm strengthening, using a band for deep leg stretches and a long, slow 60+ minute workout tbd.

Hey oh! Today’s workout was Delts, Triceps, & Biceps. Went well except my wrists were bothering me on the ez bar curls. I wrapped them up and it got better. Tomorrow’s routine is Legs & Forearms. I’ll try and do some cardio after that, I’m too beat tonight to do it. This morning’s weigh in had me up 1.4lbs to 185.2. What?! Ah! Ahhh!

I kid! Unless it’s obvious to me I’m putting on a lot of fat I’m staying with my program and see how it goes until the Road to Summer. Take care all!

Legs sore AF from leg day yesterday. Did back and biceps, 8 exercises, all sets of four, drop sets to failure. I've been doing upper/lower body splits but was on a roll with the back today, so just kept hitting it.

Chest and tris tomorrow.....shoulders if I'm feeling it. I try and do one move for each delt head. Maybe I'll do a free weight dumbbell shoulder press instead of the machines, time to get back to some free weights.

Woke up this morning with some shooting pain in my left upper thigh just below the groin...I need to take it easier on some of those leg moves, I think it was the donkey kicks. DON'T want groin nerve pain, which can be an aftereffect of the hernia surgery. Doc said highly unlikely, but it scared me for a second, because it can last for a long time and be quite debilitating. I don't think that's what it was, I was able to massage it away and it didn't return.

Still....easy on the legs. Hiking Friday with my bestie.

Hey all and happy hump day! I had a great Leg & Forearms workout today. First time in a while where I felt like I wasn’t wearing out before my muscles did. Not skipping breakfast & lunch does make for better workouts. Tomorrow’s routine is Chest & Back once again. This morning’s weigh in had me down 0.4lbs. That’s all for today!

Woke up in a panic for no reason. Felt hideously depressed all day and couldn't face leaving the house, and with sore muscles I decided to skip a day at the gym. Finally put 2 and 2 together...finding a new career, keto flu and winter depression are a bad threesome for me.

Having brunch with an old MBA classmate tomorrow and will do the gym in the afternoon. Hopefully the keto flu will improve. May be TMI, but my pee smells like nail polish remover, which means I'm in ketosis. I'm also losing water weight like crazy, which is another sign. Ate a lot of protein today....fuel those muscles!

I already feel much better than I did a few hours ago.

Hola all! Chest & Back routines were done today. Good workout. It kind of irks me my strength is staying roughly the same for a while now, but I’m not eating like I used to. I’m hoping it’ll just take longer to see results is all. Shoulders, Triceps, & Biceps are scheduled for tomorrow’s workout. I have boring Friday’s, lol. No weight change from yesterday. We may get a nasty snow storm here on Sunday, so it might be another long weekend for me coming up. I hope you found something to do today Midwest1981! Take care all!

Hola all and TGIF! I had a great Delts, Triceps, & Biceps workout today. Everything felt easier and less painful. I’m not going to rush adding on more weight this time around though. Focus on good form and getting even more productive workouts. Tomorrow’s routine is Legs & Forearms. This morning’s weigh in had me up 0.4 to 185.2lbs. Have a good weekend everyone!

Evening all! Deadlifts tonight! Pulled 515! Clean! Little pumped up tonight!! So glad I got a trainer to help with my form. Nothing hurts bad right now. Just a good sore. I hope my chiropractor didn't buy a new boat . As much as he was seeing me I'm sure he thought about it! My new squad car came in last week and I'm ready to get it on the road! Anyway hope all of you have a great night!

Butcher- the new squad car sounds like a lot of fun! That is great the trainer has helped you with your form. I hope that continues to help.

Upstairs- I hope you have a good weekend too. We got 7-8 inches of snow so far.

Yesterday I went to swim class and today I shoveled the driveway, side walks, and cleaned off my car. Some guy stopped and offered to help me. That was nice but it is nice not to need any help! staying active and it good shape sure does pay off in every day life.

Hafa adai!

What model, butcher? Enjoy!

Yoga - slow long holds, meditation and walking. Allowing focus on my recovery. Life is good and I have tools and skills to make use of in seeing this. One day at a time.

Goals for today: joy, laughter and allowing a light heart.

Hola all! Today’s workout was Legs & Forearms. Felt great doing the exercises today. I wish some of this new found strength & energy would carry over into my chest workouts that remain stubbornly hard. Tomorrow is my scheduled rest day, of course I may be shoveling snow. This morning’s weigh in had me down 1.4lbs.

Butcher70 - I wouldn’t tell your chiropractor what weight your deadlifting. He might have a cerebral aneurysm or something,

Midwest1981 - that’s a lot of snow! I really hope we ge less than that!

Evening all! Legs and utility work tonight. Legs are gonna be a hurting tommorow....and the next day. My own fault for not lifting them regularly. Should be up for a shoulder workout tommorow. Somehow in the frozen north I live about 40 miles north of where the snow line stopped. It's odd not having snow here in January and I feel feel for you guys shoveling! Mango- it's a new AWD hemi charger! My old car is pretty tired. Never had a new car assigned to me alone before. Midwest thanks! I'm way pumped for it (sure my wife is sick of me talking about it all the time!) Upstairs, not sure my bone crackers head would explode but I'm pretty sure he's worried about not seeing me anymore! It was becoming a way too common occurrence going there. Anyway hope you all have a awesome weekend!

Howdy all. Did chest tonight instead of shoulders. Went great! Really liking my new grip width. Feel I have allot more power and control. Shoudlers don't hurt anymore either. Not sure what tommorow will be after work. Might do shoulders but could do back tomorrow and shoulders when I got more time on Tuesday. Anyway hope all of you have a great night!

Hola all and happy Monday! I stayed home today due to freezing rain last night otherwise we only got a few inches of slushy snow. So I had a great Chest & Back workout today already. Everything felt easier, so I guess I’ll be adding on some weight to the exercises for the first time in ages. Maybe my day off from exercising did me some good! Tomorrow’s routine is Delts, Triceps, & Biceps. This morning’s weigh in had me down 0.8 to 182.6lbs (lost 0.4 the day before). That’s all for now!
