Hola all! One long Delts, Triceps, & Biceps workout is over. Wasted a lot of time setting things up, etc, but hopefully next time will go faster. Mostly went ok. I dunno about these weighted dips Iím doing for triceps. I think Iím letting my chest do too much of the work. I read and watch videos on it, but actually getting it right myself is trickier. I guess I could take the weights off and start all over again with just body weight to get the form better. Or maybe just do something else like close grip bench presses instead. Anyway, not currently happy about my Arms routine.

Purps - Iím sure you dance way better than me!

Mindfulman - great news on that irksome legal problem youíre having

Ringo123 - great job on that weight loss and workouts!

Butcher70 - great job on the strength gain! I looked into the mono lift thing a lot earlier. Even after watching people use it over and over on YouTube, itís still unnerving when they hand the bar back to the contraption when finishing. Youíll have to share how it goes.

Howdy all. My weight room is somewhat under water. Tonight's workout consisted of moving all my iron up and all equipment I could. Bench and squat rack are just gonna get the base wet.... Been through this once before (way worse before). Had a pile of snow and the temps raised up and has been raining steady. Allot of houses are getting it. Ground is still frozen so it has to go somewhere. Hopefully only lasts a few more days. Glad to see everyone still kicking butt!!

Moving equipment and cleaning up should count as exercise!

Rest day for me (normally yoga on Thu) as today is a morale event at work where we have a choice of working or going to a matinee with our co-workers. I'm seeing Captain Marvel.

Ugh, Butcher70! That does suck. My basement flooded last May. I was not a happy camper that week. I hope the waters recede soon.

Hola all. Chest & Back day. Great workout aside from my hands & Forearms were sore from yesterday. I somehow completed all my deadlifts, but not my pull-ups. My hands just started to slip off at the ends of my sets. No big deal though. Next routine will be Delts, Triceps, & Biceps. Take care all!

Tweaked my lower back on deadlifts today, it was a total back day. Feels sore and tight when I stand up. Lifting the same weight I've done before.

I need a form coach on this move.

Tomorrow will be chest/shoulders, and a fairly easy workout. Was going to do legs, but I don't want to go near the lower back. Any twinge and I'm outa there.

Too bad, it was a great day. Was up at 5:30 and there by 7. My loved ones want photographic evidence that I was up at that time.

Dang, everyone is doing great! Keep up the good work.

Got to use my bike yesterday to run an errand. TRX today. Might walk downtown tonight for dinner (not far).

I'm going to a women's 12 Step conference tomorrow in which I'll see friends from where I used to live. What feels so good is that I didn't have to diet, lose weight, and exercise in order to "look good" for them. Because I'm maintaining health and fitness, all I have to do is show up! And I don't have to impress anyone but my Higher Power.

You guys might not relate but I bet the gals here sure do. (smile)

Howdy all! Thanks for the well wishes. Basement is almost dry. Temp dropped so at least the melt slowwed. Still wet in spots but not lifting has been frustrating and I wanted to get deads done. Today was 475 4x1. And thankful it was singles. Not a ton of power today but got em done and didn't get hurt. Next week has me pulling that for reps... Trying not to doubt myself. Kinda cool when I would lower the weight water would fly out of the cracks of the mats!. Had to chuckle. Mindul Man I don't know how to imbed vids but Alan thrall (untamed strength) on YouTube about deadlift setup. Very well explained really helped me. My trainer put me on to it. Also athlean X has a great video with some moves to fix lower back pain from deadlifts, also on YouTube (these vids actually forced my bone cracker to take sell his boat off I think haha!) Upstairs, yeah got my monolifts and got em on. Did a few reps with just 135..... Bud I absolutely am picking up what your putting down. I got spotter arms and very glad I do... Cause that rerack could go all sorts bad in a hurry. Gonna take repetition before I got a opinion on em for you. Anyway glad to see everyone still crushing it! I'm going to graveyards for the weekend so will be off iron till Sunday night or Monday night. Hope all of you have a great weekend!!!

Today I did a dance workout video including a 5 minute "abs blaster" and there is definite soreness in the midsection....so there's a core in there somewhere underneath this blubber gut!

Hafa adai!

I'm glad to be here around my peeps. It's been a really wonderful week in seeing/feeling/experiencing my recovery skills getting easier and stronger. I'm very grateful for this.

Yoga, meditation and quick-paced walks today.

I'm curious if rewording the next section of the road to something like "2nd quarter fitness group" would be welcome? Somehow the topic of it currently being the end of summer on half of the Earth has come up several times for me lately.

I'm willing to start one more section of this connected-ongoing road. If anyone else wants to do it, please speak up.

Good point Mango....something to follow the calendar rather than seasons, so everyone's on the same page

I'm in the process of getting ready to make a huge career change and have been filled up with lots of anxiety, fear, anticipation, excitement.... I've been a gym person and have worked out all these long term sober years.

But preparing for this change has me mainly focused about this change coming up and mentally I just cannot get back into the gym!

With that being said yesterday I was really feeling miserable and anxious from not getting my workouts in! So I figured I'll just start off easy again in the comfort of my own home while preparing for the change coming up combined with doing at least a little bit of exercise!

Hot shower and then:
Body weight squats for 25 reps, butt to the floor, changing stances.
25 push ups.
25 crunches.
Bird dog range of motion exercise for lower back/glutes for 25 reps.
Stretched out whole body for an additional 15 min.

This little session saved the day as I immediately felt better after this. Mainly to clear my mind and to feel better physically! Remember, any exercise is better than none at all!
