Thoughts on vaping.

I've been vaping instead of smoking since April.
Just wanted to get thoughts on this from my comrades.

Ideally, I'd like not to vape, but of course I'm still addicted to the nicoteine. But the tar and other crap isn't there.

I quit smoking 25 years ago-ish.

It was only a little uncomfortable for a couple days. For me, there wasn't a noticeable withdrawal. I did have to learn to deal with my emotions without the time-out smoking provided.

I really think vaping is the silliest looking thing ever. But then, I don't like cell phones in everyone's faces either so feel free to completely discount my opinion.

I say do it! It's one less hindrance to a free life, IMO.

Whatever it takes to help you quit....do it. Can you continually reduce your amount of nicotine until you basically have none? It is so freeing to be free of that addiction. It will take about 6 months ....but you eventually will not even think about it. Hardest thing I ever did was quit but the BEST thing I ever did for my body and mind. Reach out for help if you need it. Best to you!

Hey there....I have been vaping for 5 years. It is better for my body than smoking cigs, I don't ever get the smokers cough or smell like a discussing ashtray.

I will say that I find myself just as addicted to the vaping, and I hope to quit it someday. But for now, getting a handle on sobriety is my first priority.

Tip....buy your supplies online to save a bundle. PM me if you want a great online vape store, with outstanding prices!

Best wishes...WF

I did not smoke or vape but I was pretty heavily addicted to nicotine via chewing tobacco for many years.

To be honest I kind of view it like alcohol - doesn't really matter if you drink beer, wine or booze - you are still drinking a substance that you are addicted to.

And in reality, just because something is "less bad" that doesn't mean it's good.

Could you direct me to this study?
I know in the UK they are pushing vaping as a much safer activity to smoking.

I have been vaping for almost 7 years. I am on the level above 0 nicotine. I am addicted more to the habit I think. I am in the planning stage to quit vaping. I don't believe it's entirely safe - more of a harm reduction method. After trying every method to quit smoking, I was finally able to through vaping.
