Hola! Welcome to the thread Sweetnlow! I like this thread a lot as well. Primarily, eating well and exercise are present and future thinking. Not dwelling on the past. Optimism is good!

Arm workout is done for the day. Then I ordered a pizza. Don't judge me! 😀

Pizza......I haven't had any in ages. I keep meaning to make some, but never seem to get around to it.

Exercise for the day was functional. I spent about 90 minutes trimming trees in my back yard, most of it on a ladder which involved core work to keep stabile as well as shoulder engagement. Under the best of circumstances being on ladders is not my favorite place to be and when you throw in wet conditions and sharp objects, both manually and power, I was not a happy camper, but I've been procrastinating concerning this project for a while and decided to just do it.

Hi everyone I will need to catch up reading our thread here. After slacking for a couple of weeks, I've been to the gym the past three days so hopefully I'm coming back from this funk. Enough already, right!

Feels nice to get back in the groove, that's for sure Purplrks. Way to go on the three days. Talking about in the groove....Upstairs has been getting after it for some time now!

Hope you got your trees looking proper GC.

Was a nice workout this morning and will be tomorrow as well.

Happy weekend gang.

Happy Saturday gang.

This morning was all about the guns haha. Bi's and Tri's. A good confidence building pump it was. Now,to borrow a phrase from GC, I'll do some functional exercise this afternoon and clean the pool. Maybe a short run too.

Hola roadsters! Chest workout is done for today and onward to Back tomorrow. And I guess I'll have to mow the lawn today and tomorrow as well for an additional 90 minutes of "yard cardio".
Thanks for noticing Mark! Yep, today marks 55 straight days lifting weights without a day off. I owe it all to being a semi-hermit with only a lazy dog for company. I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far!

Yes, Mark the trees do look better. I have some 35-40 foot tall ones that I'm going to have to call a professional to deal with.

Upstairs, I like your "yard cardio" term.

Another crappy breathing day; I did a small amount of exercise at the gym and am keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be able to have a much better workout and possibly a run tomorrow.

Hey all! Kept my guard up and went to the gym after work, despite the crappy morning. I didn't want the av to sneak in and talk me into going to the bar

Good morning all! I reckon I'll get this Back workout out of the way then clean up the house. I guess I'll wind up mowing the rest of my lawn as well. I want to put the mowing off until tomorrow as my shoulders are sore, but it's not like my back workout won't bother them any less.
I have a ladder story for you Gonnachange that your tree trimming reminded me of! One of my neighbors from long ago was standing on this 4' ladder against his house working on a window when he slipped. He fell right on top of the ladder and broke a rib that skewered a kidney, which he wound up losing. So never stand atop a ladder is the moral of the story!

Good decisions, Purpl!

Ouch, Upstairs. I'm conservative when it comes to ladders and never go to the top rung. I also bought one that far exceeds my needs because I wanted the extra stability although I'm sure any mishap would be on my end and not an issue with the ladder.

Another day where my activity level was muted; I've been laying low and hope for something better tomorrow.

Hola all!
So I had a great Back workout. I felt surprisingly strong considering how achy I was this morning. Then off to mow the front yard.
Well, I had about ten minutes more to cut when I mowed over a yellow jacket nest. They got me. I had forgotten just how much they smart. I guess I'll research how to get rid of those guys. I do know it's Ill advised to do anything during the day.

Ouch! Those little critters mean business, and it seems like the stinging lasts soooo long. I generally kill the nest under cover of night.....but I'm no expert.

All this ladder talk reminds me that it's time to change the AC filters, well actually it's waaaay past time.

Made my first ever crepes this morning and they were good. Odd observation for a fitness thread I know. However I've just returned from a long leg and shoulder work out and think I've neutralized the extra calories. Voila. No guilt.

Tomorrow is a rest day.

Wishing everyone a healthy and productive week.

Ouch indeed about the yellow jackets.

Mark, on my "to do" list tomorrow is to change the AC filter of my central air system. It was also on my list last week :sigh: and there is no ladder involved. Glad you enjoyed your crepes; I post about my cooking elsewhere and know that healthy eating, at least most of the time, has a lot to do with being in good shape.

I'm off to bed extra early today with the hope that I'll be ready to go for a solid workout tomorrow AM; it's been a bummer of a couple of days in that regard.

Back from Mexico and I have a lot of SR to catch up on. We did lots of walking--walking in that intense heat and sun was harder to do and hopefully made up for no formal exercise.

Other activities that made up for no gym time included swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, horseback riding, and more walking.

The S. F. Bay Area is enjoying unusually warm and sunny days (tomorrow it cools down) so I plan to do an outdoor cardio/leg work out at 3p. Spin at 11a.

Welcome back Ringo. Sounds as if you had a fine and active time while away.

I'm feeling better today so even though my trainer wasn't available I went to the gym and did a solo workout using a 3x8 or to failure format.

Db bench presses
Bb bent over rows
Bb standing overhead presses
Db shrugs

I've decided to take the day off exercise. I went back to work today after 2 weeks off and it was hard to get up at 4...... oh the horror! Plus they didn't staff my position so the work was piled up, it's going to take days to get caught up. Unreal. Anyways the world won't stop just because I take the day off working out, I'm tired and I don't have it in me today.

Hey everyone! Still have a lot of reading to catch up on.....went to the gym after work today. I worked on some weight machines & then 20-25 minutes of cardio on the stair climber. On the way out one of the instructors asked "You're not gonna stay for class?" I told her I would try to come back and take her Thursday class - she said "Okay, I'm gonna hold you to it!"

Dammit.
