My hat is off to those of you who exercise on the weekend. I used to. Current routine is M/W/F. I walked the dog yesterday, that counts for something.

Anyway, my boring report is: spin at 11am and supposed to be legs at 3p. I say 'supposed to' cuz if the sun is out and it's warm, I may be tempted to do a power walk with 2 lb wts in each hand. I can still work the legs by doing walking lunges on the helo pad.

The helicopter pad is a good size square that is perfect for walking lunges and squats. As long as no helos are landing!

Happy Monday all!
Thanks GonnaChange. Nice to hear even experienced runners aren't always 100% enthusiastic about regular exercise!
Thanks for the compliment Ringo123! I'm still taking it slow in exercising, one body part a day for five days. Then repeat. So I don't really need a weekend off to recover. None of my days is really that hard yet.
Anyways, I guess it's shoulder day for me plus the cardio.

Kris, that's a lot of baking.

Nice runs SoberCAH and happy birthday!

For the second time in three days I had trouble getting through my workout. I persevered and eventually finished, but it wasn't pretty. The menu for today was:

2 warm up rounds of the usual:

30 jumping jacks
20 squats
10 pushups

Then 3 circuits of:

Bosu ball pushups with knee thrusts
Ab wheel rollouts
Heavy rope fun
Decline sit ups
Db squat presses

Happy Birthday SoberCAH!

Hi everyone, I'm a pretty regular poster on the newcomer's forum, would love to join in on this thread too if you'll have me!

I try to visit the gym 5 days a week and do mostly weights. At one point I was very strong but have lost a good deal of muscle mass over the past year, just not as dedicated I guess. I am back at it and hoping to get back into the higher weight ranges. I rotate days with my trainer with a visit to another gym to do a cardio class. I try to take a walk outside as often as I can. My most favourite though is I have recently started taking karate lessons which I love. Tonight I had 3.5 hours of training and am proud to say I did great. Everything was falling into place, I felt good about my positions and moves. I go for my yellow belt exam in June so I need to tighten up and perfect everything.

Good morning gang.

Happily back at it this morning with today's gym focus being chest and triceps. Still cutting so the energy level is off a little and using lower weight/higher rep.

Great to see all the activity and new folks joining in.

Gym time!

Welcome Mera! Keep up the good work.
Happy birthday SoberCAH! (I'm a few months behind you.)

Turned out I did go outside yesterday at 3p for a combo of cardio and leg work. I feel it a little this morning. I love that feeling of slightly sore muscles.

Confirms that I did something!

Have a great day all.

Hola all! Happy belated birthday SoberCAH!
Let's see. I guess it's "arm day" and the ever present cardio on the rower and bike. Biceps are pretty easy to train. Any advice on triceps would be appreciated. Right now I'm just doing cable push downs and come dumbbell kickbacks, but it doesn't seem like I'm getting results from them. Maybe I'm impatient. Anyways, have a great day everyone!

Ringo, I know that feeling of slight soreness and tautness and love it also!

Today is a recovery day for me and I'll be limiting myself to walking, stretching, and foam rolling. I'll move some iron tomorrow.

Hi gang,

Happy happy birthday SoberCAH! I hope you indulged in something fun!

Upstairs, for triceps I like dips (using the bars) and decline 'skull crushers'. For both I have to remind myself to try and keep elbows in.

Everyone seems to be doing well.
