Hey all! Good day today...although not as active as I would like. 40 minutes on the treadmill did me in. My new shoes have given me a pretty large blister right on the bottom of my foot and it hurts! Trying to decide if just keep pushing or if I give it a rest.

Bobbie - three miles is awesome! Anything more than that exhausts me to think about right now...

Upstairs - I also have a lot of clothes that used to fit but don't anymore...can not wait to change that!

Ringo - that sounds like a good and manageable goal...

Kris - I have given up sugar as well (and bread) - the first few days sucked and now I feel so much better I don't even miss it

MissP - shin splints - yuck! Hopefully some rest helps!

Hi everyone! May I join your group? I am a member of the November 2016 group, with 4 1/2 months sober!

My goals are to quit sweets (which have taken over my alcohol addiction) and to run a 5k this year. I play tennis once a week most weeks, and jog/walk about three times a week. I started this in January, after never running in my life. I just
turned 65 and want to lose about 10 pounds.

I am definitely in for adding to my exercise routine. I have been walking, it need to add strength training and yoga back in.

Welcome Jill. Good to see you on here Delilah.

Yesterday's two work outs felt great (spin at 11a and legs at 3p). I may have to do today's exercise tomorrow as we have an asbestos class today same time as spin class.

Did my weekly weigh-in this a.m. Down a little! 124 last week, today 122.8. I have to put this in its proper place as I am a recovering food addict and bulimic exerciser.

Over the weekend, my husband asked me not to lose anymore weight. I took that as such a compliment! I am aware of my triggers and have tools to stay sane and healthy. When I start to get obsessive, I feel it and take steps to return to middle ground.

Happy freaking birthday Bobbie!!

Just done with yoga. Haven't been in a while and I don't know why...I feel so amazing afterwards. Will have to figure something out to make it work with my normal schedule.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I'm still exercising regularly and, for the most part, spending the balance of the day with my wife's family at her mother's house. I was at the gym this AM and in a couple of hours we're going to be leaving for my FIL's wake. The funeral is tomorrow so there will no exercising.

I'm getting on here to read, but honestly don't have enough time right now to respond to specific posts.

Keep at it everyone; spring is here!

Working on taxes today, but hope to squeeze in a yoga class this afternoon. I will have to make myself go, but always feel better after I do. I've only been to three, but for oldies like myself, know it's important to keep those muscles loose!

GC, I hope the wake went well and that the funeral today will complete the services nicely.

It's gym time for me with today's focus being biceps and back. Mostly weights and various grip pull-ups.
