Nice job on the weight loss IWBW and the walk. You too SW. I did a 2 hour walk with the backpack today, just shy of 8 miles.

Accomplished 25000 steps today - feeling really great this evening.

Ate beef vegetable soup and two apples today with lots of water and herbal tea.

Thanks for the welcome guys, much appreciated. I did manage 30 min brisk walking today and me and the dogs enjoyed it.

It's great to see everyone's progress - good for you.

Don't know what I am doing for exercise today, it's 4:15 a.m. and need to see what the weather is like. :-) I will report in later.

Done some walking jogging & sprinting in between I managed to read some of my new Alan Watts book under a tree also

Good going Soberwolf! I did my cycling class at the Y. It was a hard one with lots of intervals today. Bumped up against my max heart rate many times.

No jogging or running on the second set just walking 7 miles

I like the green elephants SW, do you know where they are? Very impressive exercise regime, good going!

Same for you JD. That sounds exhausting!
I used to go to spinning classes when I was in the city.It's so rural here I don't even know where the nearest gym is.
Not to worry, we've got 5 dogs that love to walk across the fields with me. I did 2 walks today 30 min each. And the weekly food shopping which surely must count as exercise

It sounds like it an incredible body moving day for everyone.

I did 5 miles walking, and a little bit of running - going against the wind isn't fun - but I made it back.

Made another vegetable and chicken soup for tonight. Only ate a banana, orange, celery, carrots, and walnuts today.

A very talented and creative person with quite a bit of time on their hands did a fantastic job on the elephants. :-)

Thanks Wait we had the hottest day of the year today so we're just sitting in this heat I love it don't really mind but mrs sw don't like it so the fans on

I feel great my body is ok and after a good rest more of the same tomorrow

Good job IWBW. I just finished my 5 mile walk. It's a beautiful fall day. Clear blue skies and about 9 C. And to make the day even better, it's been one whole year since I had anything to drink. And it's been an amazing year. I've accomplished things that weren't even on my radar screen when I was drinking.

Okay, I'll join the party. My lifting weights are in pounds, but I've given kg approximations because this is a global audience.

Protocol was either 8 reps or to failure and 30 seconds of rest between sets:

Flat bench presses with 80lb/36kg dumbbells: 8,8,7
Back squats with 225lb/102kg: 8,8,6*
Deadlifts with 275lb/125kg: 8,8,8
Front shoulder raises with 25lb/11kg dumbbells: 8,8,7
Lateral raises with 25 lb/11kg dumbbells: 8,8,6
Ab wheel rollouts: 10, 10, 10

*I definitely had another two reps in me, but my left knee wasn't feeling right so I cut it short. Live to fight another day and all that stuff which is another way of stating that as my 58th b'day is far in the rear view mirror I've finally learned to be much more mindful of injury prevention. I'll be running tomorrow and will report after that's done.
