MMMMMMMM. I'm eating some raw ice cream. Bout second time I've done that in a year or so. Was a lady here, think she was Cai, and she got a bunch of us turned on to it...then she vanished. I was literally eating it daily (or more) for months.

Anyway, frozen bananas, frozen cherries, frozen strawberries, a splash of vanilla, and bit of vanilla coconut milk...and here's the kicker, a spoon of powdered chocolate. Mixed together...yummy!

Ghostly and LDT: Thanks so much for your posts! G: Your recipe sounds yummy and LDT: I just looked up the Yonana machine and it is reasonably priced as well as having your stamp of approval so it is now on my "buy" list. Good to know that making banana ice cream can burn out the motor...I used my Ninja in the past when I made banana ice cream but don't want to take a chance on ruining my new Nutribullet. Perfect solution for a sweet tooth!
A dear aunt of mine just sent me a check for Valentine's day so that I can buy a treat for myself - I will put it towards my purchase and I am halfway there.

1Day.... I'm not sure it's normal to burn up a NutraBullet ... Much less 2 of them...... But we made a LOT of raw ice cream.

LDT - I ALMOST finished the Yin Yoga 60min clip you sent. almost.
LOL
the saddle pose? uuuuh yah - no way can my back do that yet. So I had to improvise back into another pose instead. I also struggled with the Sphinx one as having my back curved that way really hurts, but I did my best. I did better than I anticipated.
I'm going to give myself a day in between doing this...is that about right? I'd like to see myself doing it 3x week on top of the other yoga/pilates I do.

Jupiters,

Good for you ..... The full saddle pose is my most intense pose..... I would recommend to you to stick with half saddle pose for a while. You can seriously injure your knees if you are aggressive with full saddle. And make sure you use a bolster behind your back when you do it. .......Sphinx pose can be made easier by sliding your elbows more out in front of you rather than directly under your shoulders. That lessens the spinal curve. Also, you can drop your head if that's more comfortable. If Sphinx is challenging, do not do Seal for a loooong time. ...... I'm really serious about the Mindful Yin video being UBER gentle. Try it. ........ And yes 3 times a week for Yin is plenty. I recommend at least twice a week for my students. H and I do some form of Yin daily, but that's because we love it first thing in the a.m. With coffee. ....... You're doing great! Keep going with it.

Ok so I had fired catfish for lunch..... Was starving, with a headache, and I was in a grocery store.... Bad combination .... And the fish was just....there.

Dinner tonight is grilled steaks and sweet potatoes.

Wow...that raw ice cream sounds great! Like soft serve...or very thick smoothie. I can't wait to make some this weekend.
I'm doing pretty well with my new food plan...pretty much vegan, but not 100%. Had some parmesan on spaghetti tonight. I am feeling better. ..more energy, less tired. So that's fantastic. I'll try to keep at it for a while and see if the scale shows any difference.

However, I was able to "play the tape all the way through", and realized for the millionth time in my life that I will not kill the craving by giving in... I will just fuel the obsession. Did you ever hear something that was so mundane, and yet due to the timing of hearing it again held very important information?
Well when reading a post that basically said " It is not one treat or one day off of our food plan that has contributed to my weight gain over the past year - it is the pattern of eating over the year that did this".
How true! I cheated on Saturday, so cheating today will most probably set up that pattern of eating high fat sugary foods again regularly, treating myself as a reward, to give me energy, to lift me out of depression, or to cure my boredom and who knows how much weight can be gained over the next year?
So grateful I have a place to write about this and feel understood.
I am right with you 1dayatatime. ....I fantasize about sweets. ..haven't had any in a couple of weeks now and the cravings are still with me. Right now I would love a piece of pie or cake! What surprises me is that I haven't lost any weight. But I didn't lose any when I quit drinking either. I get my calories one way or another

I am so very sick with the flu... I caught it from my granddaughter, I guess. I have a fever, chills, upset tummy, clogged up head, etc. The only thing I want is 7-up.

It makes me feel so much better to know you guys are thinking of me. I actually crawled to the store, as I am also out of aspirin, which is the only thing that helps my head and body aches. I did get some real 7-up and it hit the spot. Happy Valentine's Day to you also, and eat all the chocolate you want today. I did chuckle at the store this morning...there were several younger type dads, with kids in tow, buying flowers for their wives. They better buy something unless they want the day to be crappy.
Later...

Oh that raw icecream and smoothies....I was hooked on them when I first got sober. And I'm not really much for icecream!

Felt like I was constantly freezing sheets of sliced bananas, ha.

Good Morning Heaters,

Just a quick check in after a decadent Valentines Day/ Mardi Gras weekend of eating forbidden fruits. H brought home probably the best brownies I've EVER eaten in my life. There are no words to describe them.... They probably had about 4,000 calories each, but it didn't seem to matter this weekend. Today I will repent with 2 yoga classes, one of which is HOT!! Maybe I'll sweat off one of those brownies.

It's a gloomy, rainy day. My son said he wanted soup... Can Do!

Hi, Heaters)

I've finally recovered from the flu, teeth are better. But I managed to get food poisoning on Saturday.

While I was sick my nutrition was a mess.

And I just binged on dates and bananas today.

And when I was in the gym a maintenance lady (nice lady overall), told me "You put on weight". Ahhhhhh. I don't know why is that - I am fully aware of that, but so pissed off when someone else tells me that.

For some reason it's extremely hard for me now to stick to proper nutrition. Maybe, because of stress due to works on my new apartment, finances issues, and job hunting at the same time.

And my ex constantly checking on me - how my works on the apartment go. He borrowed me some money I lacked to buy this apartment, so when he really gets to me, I can't tell him to go to....some far-far-away place... But his "mentoring' sometimes just drives me crazy...

Ok, ok, it's healthy eating thread, I remember. Whiners reside on another one)

Tomorrow is my gadzillion-time Day 1 in terms stopping binge-eating.

See you, Heaters)
