Good day yesterday and today's a half day. It's OK so far, but could have been better. I swear I do better when I don't have to handle food at all! That sounds dangerous!

It still doesn't feel natural saying it. I always feel like people are going to judge me for it: "oh, she DOESN'T DRINK. There must be something WRONG WITH HER." I need to get over that.

LDT,

Love fish, too. When we go back north we eat lots of walleye and trout. Yum. What kind of fish do you have there?

InPar, enjoy your visit with the grandparents. I'm sure you'll find some good things to eat. Eating out you can have your own pick!

We had oatmeal and blues for breakfast. So far so good. lol.

Enjoy the weekend everybody!

Love it!

Where is "north" for you Kris?

InP - Good luck at the grandparents. For me, sometimes the thing I worry about in advance that will ruin my diet doesn't. Its the surprise dinner or cake that shows up that does me in.

I don't really have a great "recipe" for cauliflower fried rice. I got the idea for mine form Nom Nom Paleo. Basically I throw cauliflower in the food processor, then fry it in a bit of coconut oil till its brown. That is the key...brown. in another pan I cook up whatever other veggies I want (I either cut them up small or food process them). Jalapeno is a must. Then I add them to the cauliflower when its all ready. I scramble a few eggs and add that. It is good and filling.

Glad your sticking with it through good days and not so good days Gilmer.

I've been doing a lot of fasting the last few days but eating some bbbaaaadddd things. Today I fasted for over 18 hours then had some Paleo pancakes with scrambled eggs and sausage.

I have a craving for donuts like you wouldn't believe.

Thank you Ghostly! That sounds right up my alley.
Yes it is the surprise cakes, and that's the thing is that she's always got a "surprise cake" around! She keeps a cake stand out usually with a variety of baked goods. Yes she is a rotund lady. But lovely. I anticipate being very hungry. I think I'll make a couple batches of things in the food processor and take them for snacks. Luckily there is a good Choices there that I can stock up at.
Made a salmon tomato sauce with chard and broccoli and served it over spaghetti squash with some clams.
My bus ride takes me through a high risk avalanche area tomorrow! Good times!

Decent day yesterday. On liquids today. Very happy to be back on liquids (I eat a normal dinner). I find I needed a spiritual readjustment to keep my motivation right.

I ate a lot yesterday....I was very hungry....so I ate....then I was very tired.....so I took a long nap ( which I never do)..... In Yoga we are told to " listen to your body ".... My body was screaming at me to feed it...so I did.

But.... I didn't eat terrible food....Chinese food for lunch, which was only a little bad because of the fried spring rolls...... And we found this cool little local diner that served Greek food....but we just ordered the broiled Red Snapper with a salad.... It was delicious ( almost as good as we make at home ).

Kris....we pretty much salt water fish ....speckled trout, red fish, flounder, etc......but pretty soon I'm going to learn how to fly fish so that we can travel around doing that. Fly fishing and kayaking are on my "going-to-do" list for this year.

We hit my favorite grocery for produce yesterday. In Texas ( where we currently are on our boat as I type) they have this chain called H.E.B. Their produce is wonderful and awesomely priced. We bought a ton. Next stop.....the fish markets this morning.

InPar.....good luck and wear a helmet through the avalanche area.

Gilmer.... We all need spiritual adjustments sometimes, don't we? I hope today brings you that.

Ghostly....my H is going to make your cauliflower recipe.....probably today even.

Happy Sunday, Heaters,

Good Sunday everyone,

Ghostly, Northern MI but winter in FL. Certainly glad to be here this winter! I have a "craving for donuts like you wouldn't believe." Still craving sugar, too.

InPar, A day of food and friends, family sounds like a day well spent. Safe travel.

Gilmer, I juice frequently to feel clean and clear. R&R!

LDT, Very good idea............. Listen to your body! Love my fish. Red fish is good. Mmm. Have only had "speckies" from out trout streams. Nothing better! Unless you're eating another kind. LOL.

Had carrot juice this morning.

Enjoy your day!

Half portions today. Yesterday's exercise was really tough--my left glute and hamstring were particularly sore, plus I felt lightheaded and had to take a break and come back to it later. I wonder if the soreness is a residual of my falling down the steps earlier in the week--I'm now sporting four spectacular bruised on my left side!

Ouch! gilmer, oooh. Could be a good reason.

I backed up over a curb in a parking lot and am in a flare, too. Rest today.

Carrot juice for breakfast again.

Off to a meeting at noon.

Have a good day ladies.
