Tres, Hope you get to feeling better. I'll be resting this week too. Dr's orders after a minor thing they had to do today. I'm kind of bummed about it- she even said no yoga. So, guess I'll take it easy for a few days and then get back at it.

Tres sorry about the foot. You know what to do, but I would try some KT tape when you are ready to try another run. I have had amazing luck with it. They have videos for most applications including plantar.

Trail run today. 7 miles with big climbs. Calf felt great until 1/2 mile to go then it started pulling. Needs just a little more rest. I thought I was totally healed there for about an hour and 15 minutes.

Thanks very ready! I have the KT tape on now. A runner advised me to use it before I read your post. It feels better taped for sure. Still icing and stretching.

Guess I need to stick to swimming for a while..

Hey, ya'll! I'm back at it after a brief hiatus taking care of my sick mom. I did my yoga while gone, that's it.
Tonight was my first night back out and I cut my route about 1/3 for starting back. Like others here, I absolutely loathe fall and winter. I really do, I'd head south of the equator if I could.

Tres, I've had that and the KT tape worked well for me, too. Good luck with it!

57 miles on the bike today. Beautiful day on the coast. I'm so tired. Supposed to do a Sunday morning shop ride tomorrow. Should be about 40 miles, then Starbucks.

A few days off from everything had me feeling a bit 'off'. I did take a few short walks, but tried to take it easy the last few days.

So, time to get back into things.

Today was a short walk. Also, I found a great series of yoga videos on YouTube, so I did yoga class in the comfort of my own home. I really feel better for having done it and think I'll check out more of those videos on nights when I don't have real-life yoga class or when I'm traveling.

27 miles on the mountain bike yesterday. Then had snow here last night and cold. So glad I got my ride in.

Did a half marathon trail race today. It was warm and muggy. My PF started killing me at mile 10. I thought I was going to have to quit. I walked a lot those last three miles. I have no idea what my time was..guess it doesn't matter. I had a great time despite the pain.

40 miles on the road bike today.
DG0409, I've been looking into yoga too. Seems like a good fit for a cyclist... Going to check out a free class on Friday if I'm not working.

Got a couple of 37 and 39 mile rides in past twi days. Weather has been just so spectacular, leaves just peaking against blue skies and highs hitting around low it mid 75. I pinch myself how beautiful it is for mid November.
Last two days temps did drop,a little cooler with some winds showing up, but I told you how and why I love the winds!
Headed down to Phoenix next weekend for. Charity ride where temps should be 85-90 and down around 1900 ft above sea level. Ala
Ways makes me feel better than I am coining down from 4500 ft.
Today prepping for all day for a medical procedure tomorrow at 7:00am. Hopefully head will be cleared enough to ride in the PM.
Keep up the good work!

Ok, did 3 miles tonight, running up the hills again! It felt fantastic! I forgot how much I liked that feeling. Glad to be back! And I was sore this morning-ha!

Hey, Siesta- If you do nothing else, learn the Sun Salutation in yoga. It works everything! You can do it very slowly, or very fast, and repeat the pose routine as oft as you like. I usually hold each pose for 3 breaths (wait till you get to the plank!) and repeat 2-3 x, left and right sides. That's how I started many moons ago, and added to that over time. Just try it, anyway! Namaste.

Tuesday torture day on the bike. Short 23 mile ride but lots of hill work. Going to be a regular weekly ride.
Kept up with the guys which felt great. The guy in the lead bumped up the speed on the way home but I held on around 28mph in the flats. I love that I'm getting faster.
Starting a healthy eating program today also. Have put on 10 lbs in the last few months that I want to drop.

Siesta- I love how you call 23 miles short! If I made a 23 mile ride it would be the longest I've ever been on by a considerable amount.

Today was yoga class for me. Was super busy today and didn't get in any walking or biking, but may try for a short walk before bed.

18 short miles today. Lol Dg0409 I guess it's a short ride compared to the 50-60 milers I've done. But those aren't my regular rides. Started out only being able to do about 10 miles back in February. Riding helps keep me sober, and staying sober helps keep me riding.
