I too am amazed at the mileage you rack up, Siesta, and others on here. And I'm like, I did 3 whole miles! But it's all good, all individualized.

It's been too dang cold at night, so no run yesterday. But, today I thought, Go when the sun is still shining, Joy. And so I went to the park and walked on the track there for a change. Also, played some hopscotch. I'm guessing I only walked about 2 miles. But that's something.

Ran for the first time in Yak Tracks yesterday. 4 miles on mostly sidewalks that were covered with snow or otherwise a sheet of ice. They were awesome. It would have been impossible without them it was so slippery, but they add amazing traction. Didn't slip even once. The only down side is that on clear stretches they are a little uncomfortable to run on and you can feel the springs. Overall I am really excited. In the winter I usually just give up on the trail runs, but this year I am going to go for it. On snow packed trails I think the Yak Tracks will be great.

Too wet out to bike
Might get on the trainer in the garage but don't enjoy it that much.
Planning yoga tonight at 6.
It's called "Candlelight Yoga". Oooo la la!

Siesta, I could dig some candlelight yoga! Just NOT hot yoga.

Couldn't run yesterday (rain) so I put on some music and did my own version of Zumba (Joyba) for about an hour. I love dancing!

Did the same today. Not bad, but certainly not equivalent to running. I fear losing my good habit?????? I need to buy an elliptical, I love those machines. But they are expensive...

Well... missed out on the candlelight yoga. Too many issues going on at home. Did get a bike ride in this morning though. Beautiful ride down the California coast. Did 39 miles. Broke one of my records going up a hill, so happy about that

Been cold, cloudy, and somewhere between rainy and snowy here the last few days. I made it out for a couple of walks in it the last few days and was glad to get back home both times. Also been doing a few yoga classes off of YouTube. The short days plus this weather just has me feeling rather unmotivated at the moment though.

Siesta, sometimes we need a day off.

I didn't make it out for my walk yesterday, but the few days before I did.

For the American Asphalt Kickers, hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Just registered for the Iron Horse Bike Race. AKA Race the Train. Durango CO to Silverton. 50 miles and about 6,000 feet of climbing. Bucket list ride. Can't wait.

VR just registered today for Iron horse - Race the Train today too!
All entires were filled in less than 24 hours. Crazy, but got in riding for Fort Lewis College.
Weather a little rough here even in northern Arizona this week, but planning a ride Friday with temps in low 40's - we'll see.

My first ever post in this thread. I bought shoes yesterday. I ran in them today. Just a mile, and I had to walk about 25% of it (because I am in horrible shape), but I was out there, dammit.

Hopefully not my last post in this thread.

30 road miles today...crisp 40 degrees but sunny and no wind. 2500 ft of elevation gain. A dusting of snow forecast for Saturday night but sunny on both sides so hope for rides Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon. Otherwise there is always the mountain bike so no excuses right?

The cold weather has me not wanting to get out as much. Haven't been making it out for my walks very regularly. Didn't get much at all done over Thanksgiving week.

Trying to get back at it though. Went to yoga class tonight and did a YouTube yoga class at home last night. So, at least that is something.

First ride of the year wearing gloves today. 25 miles, with a couple hills. Going to rain tomorrow so might go running instead of riding or else set up the trainer in the garage.

OK, I ran a mile again yesterday. This time I walked only about 10% of it. I will try again this evening. Maybe I can make it the whole way without walking at all.

The temp dropped about 35 degrees from yesterday, so I need to find my old running jackets and hope they still fit.

Nice job siesta DG and nonsensical.. Especially for folks in parts of country that get seriously cold and wintry.. Gives me certainly not to much to whine about here.
This am around 27 degrees so went for a mountain bike ride. Light frost last night- doesn't happen here much - so pretty cool riding through some little pockets of ice over puddles!
Tonight we might get a dusting of snow but should be able to get a road ride in by tomorrow afternoon. Just enough to make the red rocks pop.

Inside ride on the trainer today. 60 minute video. Spinning indoors is a sweat fest!
Raining and cold and blustery outside. Not typical for where I live.

I took a few weeks off. Just letting some tweaks fully heal. Man it is hard to get motivated again, but finally did some crossfit tonight and some spinning. Seams like just getting that one in has me looking forward to the next one. I'll do some stretching and rolling later.

Siesta good for you getting on the trainer. Not easy to do...I know after having ridden many miles for years over the winter in Wisconsin in my basement.
VR I know the weather has been a bit challenging than normal so understood and the recovery probably very good for you..
I got out on my mountain bike a couple days after a light dusting of snow. Cooler temps than normal here too so felt good compared to hammering on my road bike. Good news is it was a blast and a lot of fun...bad news I took a pretty hard spill over the handle bars ....landed hard on my elbow and wrist. Thought my wrist may have been broken but after a couple days I have bounced back incredibly well....way better than I could have dreamed . Seriously .......injuries at this point in my life always seem to take more than I think, but this time....I have been so blessed to catch a break ie didn't think I would be typing on my iPad for at least a month!
Work now a couple of days and then back to training on my road bike. Think movement and range of motion will allow me to shift and I want to enter January with somewhat of a base to get serious and develop some strong capabilities like last year.
Everyone have a good week....
