Usually ranch or thousand island. It's funny... all the years I drank I stayed away from those dressings and used oil & vinegar, and herbs, and other vinaigrettes. Now I absolutely love a rich, creamy dressing!

Hi. I was just going to add something that has helped me walk every a.m. and watch my intake. I downloaded a .99 cent app called weight loss self hypnosis. I listen to it every night before bed. I also play a self guided meditation called simply be which helps me to diffuse thoughts and let go.

Soberjennie, you may like this dressing. 1/3 c. olive oil, 1/4 c. mayo, 1/4 c. lemon juice, 3 T. Greek Seasoning (I use Cavenders). Whisk together. It's good on pasta (with grilled chicken and feta and olives-yum!). Also good on any green salad. Makes a good dip for veggies too. Got this from a friend of mine who's hubby is Greek.
Potfree, I may have to check that app out! Thanks for the tip!

Everytime I come to this thread I get hungry!

Today I had an aspargus and mushroom omlet and am going to try that shrimp recipe tonight.

Yogurt for bkfst; grilled chicken, cherries and watermelon for lunch. Drinking fruit tea all day long (blueberry peach white tea).
Leaving for vacation tomorrow and packing a bag full of fruit and vegs to snack on in car and hotel. It will be harder to restrict myself in restaurants, but not impossible!

I'm going down to the beach in Florida, between Daytona and Cocoa Beach. I used to live down there. So we'll visit friends, but mostly we need to relax and rest! Lots of fresh seafood I'm looking forward to!

Thanks! I'm bringing the laptop. Must check in with SR regularly, sobriety doesn't take vacations. I may not eat the most healthfully, but I will keep sobriety the top priority!

I totally eat whatever I want when on vacation... I think it's a time to relax and just enjoy and not be so restricted. Just a break, you know? But that's just me and others may not agree

I am still doing the loosely following the whole 9 thing. I think there must be a "pink cloud" for people who start eating right. Feel so good I don't even care about the taffy anymore.

Could that be it? I've not only been eating better, but I've started walking almost daily and returning to yoga, started a vitamin supplement, and I'm continuing my recovery. But my eating has taken a 180. I feel the pink cloud too, silentrun!

Good posts, and nice pitcher. I have not seen one of those. I love plain old water and have no problem drinking filtered from my fridge.

Grilled chicken tonight and two bowls of salad. Made a homemade dressing in my vitamix. Olive oil, balsalmic vinegar, spices, garlic and parmasean cheese. It was so good.

Tres, sounds good. I still want a Vitamix! Really bad I have just about everything but a Vitamix and one of those Kitchenaid stand mixers... so pricey, we are keeping an eye on Craigslist and ebay for them.

Breakie was boiled egg, coffee & vitamins, lunch was leftover dinner stuff from yesterday, snack of oatmeal with a spoonful of PB2 stirred in and dash of cinnamon, dinner was grilled steaks, baked sweet potato with butter, collard greens, huge salad with homemade thousand island, dessert was mandarin orange. Sipped on a blueberry-pomegranate seltzer on ice all day.

I think I ate a lb of ranier cherries in the past 2 days. They might be my favorite fruit. They always seem to be good.
